Hank,
Just wanted to share that I was also a Valentine detector devote...I own three of them. That is until I was forced to buy the Escort 9500ci in order to get something to work in my 2013 Model S. Suffice it to say that the Escort is the best detector I've ever used. I think you would be impressed with the Escot. I'll be putting a new 9500 (or what ever their newest model is) in my Model X as soon as someone more patient than I figures out a slick way to install in the X and takes time to post.
Dennis
I bought the 9500ci 2 weeks ago after being a v1 devotee for 15 years. Question, are you getting ALOT of false reads with the escort? In my case it has been insane to the point of shutting down my x and k bands. What has your experience been like and/or do you have any suggestions?

Hello all, just picked up MX P90D for my wife.
I searched all over this forum and on google and can't seem to find online anyone who was able to hardwire the radar detector using invisicoil to the rear view mirror. I have been using this type of mirror tap on all of our cars but can't seem to find instructions for MX. All I need to know if it is possible to open up the rear view mirror black case that is attached to the windshield and if someone was able to find a ground wire as well as switched 12v wire.
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Anyone find good pricing on the beltronics stir plus? In jan I bought it on bestbuy for 899 for the model s. They are no longer have it and need to buy it for X. It is a great detector with zero false alarms for me in the S so far.

The STiR+ is a great system especially for the price compared to the 9500ci. Feel free to contact us. We can get a new unit to you for $945 + shipping.

Am very interested in some installation pics, as I like to mount on the rear view mirror and wanted to see how you guys hide power cables etc.

In Japan most radars are mostly replaced by automatic speed cameras so we rely on GPS based radar detector thus we don't have to mount some antenna in the grill.
