As long as you don't pick up an old demo that have been sitting at the dealers.just placed my order for the model x plaid, hopefully it has matrix headlights fingers crossed
Please give us an update tonight!! I’m dying to knowI just picked up a June build demo Plaid and it has matrix headlights - YEAH! I previously had 2 other MX's 2016 and 2021 and I did not like the headlights at all (I manually raised then slightly - helped some), our Model Y with just projector (vs matrix) were far superior. I have not driven at night yet, but I would assume these are far better than the 2016 and 2021 headlights (from what I have read - yes).
Any pix day/night would be super helpful.I just picked up a June build demo Plaid and it has matrix headlights - YEAH! I thought my post was easy to understand. Did you even read it?Didn't you describe just really good regular headlights? The Matrix part is the European thing where they only dim where in coming traffic is to avoid glare in that poor persons vision. I have never driven one of those because they are in true luxery vehicles, where that option is enabled. Tesla doesn't do that so the MATRIX part is useless until they are capable of impleleting that.
Agree with the comment, Telsa can't get auto wipers to work right and my Chevy Volt AUTO headlights work SO much better than my MX, I'm not thinking Tesla can get the matrix part to work, so it is disabled except for the spelling Tesla in the light show gimmick.
Is matrix lights height level adjustable from UI in model-X?
The non-matrix headlights are also adjustable from the UI.Yes they are! First real drive at light on deserted highway - much better light and light pattern than my '16 or "21 X's had. They are adjustable. I moved each side up 2 "clicks" and made a big difference and do not have anyone flashing me that they are too high. Light patterns and spread/coverage are much better. I would say that the are much closer to the many Audi's I have owned from about 10 years ago now and a Cadillac ELR with LEDs I used to own. Now to just get the Matrix full functionality to work!
???????The non-matrix headlights are also adjustable from the UI.
Yes please share. I had to have service adjust my high beams on my 18' X.The non-matrix headlights are also adjustable from the UI.
Yep, not true. I CAN adjust the headlights in my 2019 Model 3. But not my 2022 Model X. Apologies.???????
I don't recall this ... they have the nylon/plastic screw adjustment behind the headlight - at least my '16 and '21 did.The non-matrix headlights are also adjustable from the UI.

Anybody got some comparison nighttime pix?
Matrix vs Non would be great too if somebodies household (or buddies) have one of each.
You can dream… already down $41k since January 2023, tax credit eligible, nothing else to prove or accomplish IMO. S/X sales will be way up in Q4.If they drop the X another $10k, then I’ll just jump in. Higher % rates and slower sales will either cause upgrades to compete or cost reduction for the same reason.
They are great, super bright….way clearer and crisp than my 2018/2019 Model 3’s.I think the main thing you'd notice is the sharp cutoff on the upper edge of the headlights.
