I also put mine in night mode 27/7 , I like this look in the car way better that the daytime mode and I find it easy to read the street names as wellLooks just like my MS screen. I've since put it in night mode until a fix is found. It's too disconcerting for me to focus on those damn yellow borders.
I got the same response from my local center as well - fix is coming, waitWow on a 2018 already! My service centre told me new 'fixed' screens are due around March / April and told me not to bother getting mine replaced yet as it will just happen again. Night mode makes it tolerable.

I only noticed it because of this thread. Note to self....stop reading TMC! Sigh.

Don't go out of your way to find a flaw. Once you see it you will notice it all the time!"). Best way to see it is on a light/white background like while in "sketch pad" mode or switch your map off of satellite mode
