SR+, no extras, ordered 3/2. Pre-launch event reservation holder. Taking delivery in Northern Virginia

No contact from Tesla yet. Estimate still within 2 weeks on my order page. I would have hoped for an email or a phone call by this point, even it was a confirmation of order...

Did you receive an email after putting down money with order confirmation PDF?

You should, and then the status in your profile will showing waiting for contract bla bla. If not you should call them.

Ordered yest, 3/7. M3 SR+, Blue with AP.
Received text saying 3/17 - 3/28.
Sales Rep via email said by the end of the month.

Wow, that’s awesome. I ordered 3/1 SR+ black / white but live in Canada so expecting a much slower turnaround. No txt / VIN yet!

If I lived in SoCal I’m sure it’d be so much faster. Honestly I think my 2.5 year old reservation is kind of useless.

For cars in inventory they were willing to either waive the paint upcharge or waive the cost of the upgraded 19” tires. They had a red LR RWD in stock which normally cost an extra $2,500 that they were willing to waive but I didn’t want a red car.
Can you please send me the Tesla contact for this? I contacted Tesla store in Burbank , and only can give out 500 to 800 discount for inventory model 3

I don’t know if it’s a universal policy or just at the discretion of the employee but I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. I simply let them know I really wanted a black car and I’d consider another color but would not pay extra for it because black was my first choice. I did have to speak with three different people before I got one to say yes. Make sure you ask for a manager. Individual salespeople may not have the authority to do this.

Reserved 3/6 with pickup in northern VA (Tyson’s). I did not have a reservation (I used to but canceled my deposit late last year). Ordered a SR+ in gray with 18” wheels and EAP. I did not get the text that everyone was discussing this morning but I got a call from my delivery specialist a little after 4 today. She said to expect delivery by the end of the month at latest.

I wonder if they can go so far as to waive EAP for a 2018..

I'm assuming that the first reservation holders will receive their before someone without one at each store. Because otherwise all that reservation strategy was only a way for Tesla to raise fund...

Come on people, this is depressing. Our reservations did help a lot - to make a 35k car a reality. 400k+ reservations made everyone committed, helped to get everything aligned and with enormous efforts from Tesla team, we are finally getting what we were promised.
And now all this bit*ing about someone *maybe* getting a car 2 days earlier.

I got nervous about the lead times for the SR+ so I had Tesla swap the model out for an MR they had in inventory. I went to pick it up today but I ended up rejecting the car. The body panels had gaps about as bad as I’ve seen. It looked like it could have been a 2017 build, except it had a build date of January 2019. I think it was probably rejected once, and that is why they had it in inventory.

The service center was pretty embarrassed they didn’t catch it before having me drive down. But unfortunately I had to place a new order and go back to the bottom of the queue and wait. I ended up ordering the LR model just because they said it would definitely get here within 2 weeks.

So somehow I’ve seen my order go from SR+ to MR to LR in four days. In the end I think I’m glad it happened though as I think I’ll have less range anxiety with the LR model.

If you end up going with an inventory model make sure you ask a lot of questions about why it is in inventory.

You'll definitely be happy you went LR. One thing I've learned after buying my first Tesla is to always get as much battery as you can afford. The EPA range is only at 100% charge and perfect weather, so in reality you will have 80-90% of that. Now you'll also get the faster 0-60 time and be able to supercharge at the max 250kw rate announced for V3 superchargers.

Very similar order and date for me, but blue exterior with black / white interior. No financing. Watching to see when the SR+ for non reservation holders, start to hit Canada. Hoping for April.

I have exact same specs incl no financing, except I have a March 2016 reservation. Let’s see if it makes a difference or not since everything is equal. Whereabouts do you live? I’m in Vancouver.

I think my car might be at the front of train but if they build batch orders unless the demand is massive the reservation might not matter as much
