Same thing happened to me this morning! Ordered Oct.24th Dallas, TexasReceived a "2021 Model 3 Cash Final Payment Ready" email this evening, no text or anything else. My VIN was in my account when I logged in. And my previous delivery range which had bounced around and was most recently Nov 29-Dec 23 is now Dec 9-15. No call from Delivery specialist but hopefully soon
I'm in Austin, TX. Ordered 10/21. White Ext, Black Int, Aero and no FSD.
Received a "2021 Model 3 Final Balance is now ready" SR+ Silver Metallic email this AM. No text or delivery date given (was never provided a delivery date) Ordered September 28th, Altadena, California. My sales advisor (Josh at The Americana in Glendale) checked and said the vehicle has already been manufactured and is ready for transport from the offsite lot in Fremont. He estimates it will be ready to pick up from Burbank service center by Thursday. Unfortunately, may not be able to take delivery of this VIN as I’m still awaiting CVAP approval which could take anywhere from December 8th at the earliest to January 19th at the latest (which is a pretty big window!).[/QUOT

Still waiting on my VIN. Ordered 8/2, refused delivery in Sept for refreshed model. No delivery date on my account or any of the sort, just received a text last week letting me know it's still 3-5 weeks out.
Sigh. White/Black interior.
Nothing to do with how much they care. It's end of the quarter so to maximize deliveries west coast and California get the cars last. I'm in Vancouver with a dec 14-31 estimate which is expected.I feel like Tesla doesnot give a Rat's ass about california delivery. I see people from all over the country having a vin assined except for californians like us.

I ordered first week November, red/white so I was assuming I'll be later than a lot. I would expect Vancouver to get their vins before California. I may get my vin before ya but we'll get our cars at basically the same time hahaWhen did you order you car? Most people in Vancouver have already taken delivery of their car orr vin assigned in this forum. The only people who havenot received a vin or any update are californian's.
I forgot to add that I never had a projected delivery date and now it says December 10th through the 16th.
Ordered my car mid-October, still no VIN, starting to get really frustrated! Anyone in Socal feel the same way?
Basically that dick head told me that they are prioritizing california at the end and prioritizing other states first.
This happens every single quarter. Tesla tries to maximize the number of cars sold each quarter. To do this, they need to build the cars for the most distance customer first. That way, the car will arrive before the end of the quarter and the customer can accept the delivery - and Tesla can book the sale.
Since the factory is in california, Tesla can wait to the last few days to crank out those cars, ship them in a day (or two) and have local customers accept delivery. If the factory was relocated to Austin, Texas then we would be the last to get our cars. And you would get the cars first.
If you read this thread from the beginning, you will see this is how it works (every quarter).

I'm here in CA (Orange County), and I took delivery today (SR+, MSM/black, 19" wheels). Ordered on 10/19. No idea why I already have my car and so many others in CA don't have VINs yet. Someone else here in OC took delivery of their car a couple of weeks ago (and had only ordered a day before me, same configuration). So while I don't doubt that they put off at least some CA deliveries to the end of the quarter there are definitely some of us here that are getting them sooner than that...
The car is freaking awesome. Definitely worth the wait for me...
