So last update is from Sept 27th, anyone have further updates?

I know it's a long shot but i'll be through there.. today... would be amazing if it were open so I don't have to stop in Waco as long.

I saw some people working out there the other day.

From looking at the permit, they still need to pass the electrical rough, electrical grounding and electrical final inspections. The website doesn't show any scheduled inspections, but I don't know if that is accurate or not.

Two superchargers in Alabama have been built and gone live since this one was permitted. ALABAMA

I don't know why anyone would believe that they'll actually install even half of the new superchargers announced a few months ago by the end of 2018.

Don’t feel bad. Tucson just went live after first being forecast in 2014. Only 3 years late.

And without Fort Stockton, in permit status for 315 days and counting, there’s still no direct I-10 transcontinental route.

I bet youse get Austin before we get Fort Stockton.

Not sure who is responsible for setting the meter base in a situation like this. Tesla contractors or Austin Energy.

Not sure who is responsible for setting the meter base in a situation like this. Tesla contractors or Austin Energy.

Contractors will install the "meter can" and then City of Austin will inspect and release utility provider to "stab the meter" making the circuit hot. Then of course Tesla tech pays a visit making us all happy.

I drove by around 9:30 this morning (on my way to the body shop ) and saw that Austin Energy were out there with a truck doing something with the overhead cables and the big green box was open. Soon?

I will be visitng Austin and Round Rock on Nov 2nd and 3rd, so this would be a perfect timing if it opens by then. If not, I'll have to rely on destination charging before I head back. Fingers crossed indeed!
