At the time of the supercharger announcement there was a lot of talk about funding/support from NSW Transport, sparking (quite valid) concerns that the government shouldn't be subsidising private infrastructure. This should ease those concerns a bit.
Given Silos support for a number of EV facilities over the years, I wouldn't be surprised to see NRMA wanting to put one of their DC fast chargers here as well.

I hope not - I’d rather see the NRMA charger in another location so that we have more options

I was thinking the same thing, although I suppose that's only a benefit for Tesla owners.

Certainly a good reason I hadn't considered!
I was thinking more along the lines of having found a "supporter" - lock them in! Only having to convince one site host, only dealing with one organisation regarding anti-ICE-ing education etc., only upgrade the power supply in one location (sure, to a higher capacity, but it only has to happen once).

SC openings are still a big deal in Australia - Tesla AU will (I presume) continue to send out emails when one is complete, just like the last time with the Narooma Plaza SC opening.
I visited again today - no sign of any supercharger work to date. The work on the electrical poles near the main road seems complete though not sure if new substation is there. Work on upgrading the road from Berry to Bomaderry is suppose to start now as well. Berry to Bomaderry - Princes Highway upgrade
As an aside, looks like NRMA is planning to install one of their chargers near Berry Showground.

i stopped by the silos estate on friday and had a good chat to the lovely owner about the progress. Simply put due to the freeway works it has been delayed and the infrastructure plans had to be re drafted. Essentially the whole process has been reset but it is on track for completion late this year.

Had a good chat this afternoon with Raj, owner of Silos. The sub-station for the super chargers has arrived in Australia. Very good news
There continues to be local arguments on high voltage equipment placement but Raj is optimistic about year end commissioning of the Berry Super Charger

Latest is there’s a few dependencies like the transformer requiring an upgrade and the freeway out the front is being upgraded to allow increased traffic, taking longer than expected.
Swung by there today. No signs of progress I’m afraid.
