Good to hear. They either need to expand GVL or put a new one between CLT and ATL. Hopefully this one will be at the Love's Travel Stop (exit 4) so there will be some amenities.
Definitely agree that the Charlotte-Atlanta corridor seems to have relatively sparse supercharger coverage, especially compared to the Charlotte-Raleigh corridor just up the road. I hope that Spartanburg will be considered next as it's the junction of I-85/I-26.

What: Tesla is in planning to build a 12-stall, V3 supercharger at the Carolina Travel Center and Mobil gas station (exit 4).
Address: 272 Herring Rd, Fair Play, SC 29643

Any updates? Will be traveling down for the 4th weekend and it would be awesome if it were up and running but that's a stretch
No updates on this specific charger, but a couple of weeks ago we were in Michigan and ran up on a crew that was building 3 superchargers in the area. They said that Tesla has a commission team and they were trying to get the new superchargers commissioned before the week of July 4.
Judging from the pics above it looks like they might be ready for the commission team before the 4th. Just my opinion.

Thanks!

Why doesn't this site look like the original plan with pull thru charging stations? There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the orientation stalls are being installed lately.

I vastly prefer the way they've been installed vs the plan but why the lack of consistency?
