i can't wait to see the lounge! and park at stall 20B. wow.
I’m disappointed with the white lighting around the perimeter of the solar canopies - it’s just unnecessary light pollution. They could have come up with a much more striking look without all of that wasted shining out, up, and everywhere else. Red trim at a respectable intensity would have been really sharp around the canopies as it would have complimented the red TESLA logos at the tops of the superchargers.
Stopped by on 11/11 around 5AM.
Stations were lit up. Didn't needed charge, plugged in to check power.
Wow, they pulled this one off very quickly
Good article from electrek.
First look at Tesla’s new kind of Supercharger with solar arrays and owners lounge
Looks spectacular. Tesla osasis. Was the lounge open?
I see a green light here
I'm blown away by the speed of this construction. Kudos to the construction teams who were obviously working under high pressure from Tesla.
Think it's safe to assume the lounge will be staffed 24/7? Just a single employee/security guard would be necessary, but leaving it unattended seems like a bad idea.
What charge rate were you getting?
Not in the car navigation yet, at least not in my communications limited area.
Holy moly...that was fast. We have folks with the courage to plug in but no pictures of the lounge?
It's not done yet, they still need to paint lines, install wheel stops, and who knows what else.
I wonder if it will be open for the Thanksgiving travel crush on I5.
Seems like that's the plan. Hopefully some good pictures get posted with lots of charging Teslas.
Holy cow. This happened literally overnight. Checked yesterday and it was still a beehive of construction overnight. Then viola it’s lit up and opened? Way to go Tesla!
"Opened"... It may be lit up (for the moment at least) but it's not open yet. Obviously very soon though.
Very soon indeed. The level of enthusiasm here is viral! Thanks all!
That was probably the goal! I bet the construction company got a bonus if finished by Tuesday.
In this photo, it kinda looks like a gas station with hollowed-out pumps...
Where's the dirty-water bucket and window squeegee?
In all seriousness, it would be nice to have that, and air for tires too.
