Supercharger - Lowell, MA

A 12 stall Tesla Supercharger is coming to Lowell, MA. The address is 850 Chelmsford St, Lowell, MA 01851 and located in the same shopping plaza as a 99 Resturant. Close to the intersection of Route 3 / Route 495 and in the shadows of the Crosspoint tower.

Construction has already started! The primary run to supply power to this site is about the longest I've seen - longer than the Sturbridge site I believe.

Definitely lots of through-traffic there. Good spot at a crossroads.

Hah that’s funny, because I submitted a location down by the movie theater. Plenty of open space there and proximity to the connector, 3, and 495 (and food)!

It's in the middle of parking spaces and doesn't look wide enough for pull-through, plus it's maybe at an angle.

So to me it looks more like trenching for running the power to the transformer.

Definitely not a pre-fab. They had begun working on the form for the supercharger equipment pad when I was there (see middle photo in my previous post). The PSU's have the supercharger cabinet built in to each unit instead.

Nice. I’ll have to keep a lookout for you. I’m just down the road in Billerica on the Chelmsford line. Go to that Lowes fairly often..

Stopped by yesterday to checkout the status. Looks pretty much done awaiting a transformer, probably a new pole and primary wiring along with final site cleanup and sealcoating/striping. Possibly some additional work at the end of the current primary trench to wherever the new pole will go - hard to say. Looks like an extra supercharger cabinet is still there - unsure why, but will probably make it's way to another project in the area.
