During business hours you can validate your parking and only pay $3 for an hour of Supercharging (photo from FB):

Don’t quite see this working as charging payments are handled by your Tesla acc now I have to pay for parking as validation of ticket is required for 20 minutes this isn’t a smart business move by Tesla and what are standard rates for parking.

Think it's parking for up to 60min while Supercharging that's $3.
You pay Tesla as normal.

It's otherwise an expensive carpark as per the 1st post.
Imagine if you have a petrol station and asked people to pay while they filled this is a total cluster on Tesla’s watch.

Maybe you could suggest a plot of land in South Yarra that's cheap and consists of six freehold parking spaces and sufficient electrical capacity.
As I’m not the urban planner or electrical engineer for Tesla I have no answers but but if Tesla is supplying the superchargers for their customers (Tesla owners) and now selected others then charging an access fee will discourage use. If space and power is the issue what about the if car park at Woolworths Chapel st and Malvern rd. seems strange they don’t have the same issues in the US & Europe when it comes to installing charging centres maybe it’s just narrow minded Neandthals in local councils in Australia that are making it difficult.

But as discussed above the net effect of the parking fee during a weekday day ($3 for the hour) and slightly cheaper supercharger procing makes the net cost of charging about the same.. and given its V3 likely quicker.

If you go overseas a number of large cities where the majority of supercharging is within paid carparks (with no discounts)

The only other one that charges for the first hour is the very recently opened Wangaratta site, and only during weekdays and it's only $1.10 per hour.

All the other paid carparks have 1-3 free hours.. 45min should be sufficient for most Tesla's.

Whereas here at Como that hour is going to cost you $12-15 (hourly, weekend or night rate), unless you also go to the movies. That's a pretty substantial increase over a typical $20-30 charge (at circa 70c/kWh)

Different in places like NY or HK where almost all carparks are billed..
Holbrook NRMA lists on Plugshare that parking is $20 plus TOU fees. Can anybody verify? The new SC at Holbrook may sort this out. Im going this way in a few weeks and will post my findings.

Whole entry is bizarre.

NRMA doesn't do TOU.. it's a flat 54/60c/kWh.
And having been to the site before it's in the middle of a public park.. don't think any parking fees.

And can't be edited - entry is locked, like so many Plugshare entries these days unfortunately.
