I haven't seen this posted yet, but someone from our group in Charleston took a video of a new 8 stall V3 supercharger on I-95, exit 108. It's in the Stuckey's Texaco parking lot. It looks complete, but the cabinets are covered. I wish it was on the other side of the Santee supercharger, closer to I-26, but it still helps.

Santee is one of the oldest SC sites there is (2013) and is a V2 with only 6 stalls. Tesla is also building out the network greatly in high volume areas such as I-95.
Yeah, it is also the oldest site in South Carolina. I like it, but its kind of unique.

Very likely the host site reached out to Tesla and asked them to put in a Supercharger because they want to get out ahead of their competition, or maybe catch up to their competition. This kind of thing is going to snowball very quickly I predict.

Maybe, although the new Florence one at bucees might be a better choice next year.

Obviously to phase out Santee just as they did with the first supercharger in Macon GA. Another one is the Savannah airport... de facto replaced by the pooler supercharger, I would not be surprised if airport went away too.

The last time I was at FLO Supercharger I was policing up my cones while charging. I spoke to one of the security guys and he described to me his frustration at mall management not running off roving bands of teens. That particular weekend two groups had a shoot out inside the main building. In his words "not very family friendly". The mall in Sumter SC went thru the same thing 10-12 years ago... roving bands of kids hanging out and getting violent ended up running off paying customers.

Sadly, mall shootings from young people is today’s world. They just had one at Southpoint Mall in Durham, which is a pretty upscale place.

I always just put in the SC I’m going to stop at as my destination when traveling.
