The chargers aren’t alive yet, but BrightView is back on site today. They are installing drip irrigation along the fence, and cleaning up the area near Westlake Blvd.. The plants you mentioned were probably earmarked for the area they are cleaning up.

I’ll check again this afternoon, to see if they fire up the SCs.

I think it’s time for someone to flip the switch.

Since this morning, they’ve removed the construction fencing, planted the last of the shrubs, spread mulch that was in one of the parking spaces over much of the new drip line, and cleaned up. You can now see the SCs from Westlake Blvd.

Another update — I just spoke with Caruso security and an electrical contractor on site.

Apparently SCE shut down power to a section of the mall last night at 9PM (3/18, as SCE predicted!) to allow them to switch on power to the SCs.

They discovered a couple issues that the contractor must resolve before the SCs can be powered. Probably a delay of a couple days.

Obviously, Elon has nothing to do with the delay in making this new Supercharger operational...

I have never seen so many Superchargers opening so fast. Seems like they are popping up everwhere.
