More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

@SilverGS, this has been updated. +8 to ... well ... 8 so far. Great job joining the game. Moving forward, you just need to provide the date visited and the supercharger name (from the Nav screen) and not the address or other info. There are only a handful of chargers with duplicate names but it is usually obvious if you are in Burlington, NJ vs Burlington, NC or ON or WA so the Admins will ask for clarification when it is needed. We try to make the game easy for folks.

I thought I'd offer a bit of insight into why am I spending so much time cleaning up the "New SCs per day" visualization.

This is the first metric I've run across since joining this ragtag group that offers new competitors an opportunity to shine and lead in a category. Since the supercharger network is always growing, it means no matter when a competitor joins, they will always have a chance to excel in this metric if they want to put the effort in. This is also true of long-standing competitors who have not been able to bag many superchargers because of life-constraints but find themselves with more time at some point in the future. I'm thinking of someone like @bmah in this regard.

I feel like the poster child for "non-elite Supercharger hunters". :D

This is cool stuff, thanks for all of your work on this. It's fascinating how we have this one data set but it's extremely rich and there are all kinds of different ways of looking at the data.

Bruce.

@bmah, aren't you in the lead for the "most superchargers visited without ever leaving the state" ?

evp and Bighorn data are still skewing the left-side of the "New SCs per day" visualization. For Bighorn, is the updated data still binned or do we think that is 22 visits on 3/28/2015 all happened on that day?

For evp, I have no experience with their data. For example, evp has a cluster of high-count days in mid-2015 at 17, 17, and 19 visits per day. Are those real? Any suggestions or insights before I reach out to evp?

I'd have to go back and look at the entry that it's based on. Since it's not a default 1st day of the month, I'd be inclined to believe it is all one day. A good check would be to determine if they are all within about 1000 miles of one another.

Addendum:
I actually posted those on 3/27 and they occurred over the previous few days.

Thanks. I'll start a PM with you and jsergeant and we'll work through each. That's what I've been doing for other competitors. I was checking in because I know much effort has gone into trying to reconstruct your stops. I'll do the same for evp.

You can see how much of an outlier your dots are in the pre-2016 time period. I suspect it'd bet quite hard, if not impossible to get 14+ in a single day in 2015 or earlier and thus my working assumption that these are still aggregate values and should be hidden from this view.

@NKYTA still seems to have outliers as well but I understand he is going to scrub his list this weekend. @Half Dollar Bill is scrubbing his too.

I made a lot of progress today resolving the noise in the 10-25 range but still have a more to do. Lots of people have been getting PMs today. :)

I'm setting a goal to clean up this visualization down to at least the 15 new superchargers per day level because (maybe eventually down to 10), because, as I said in a previous post, I personally know how much effort it takes to notch up that many new SCs in a day. It is really, really hard. Therefore, I expect many of the dots seen below to be deemed not accurate.

The visualization is largely cleaned up down to the 25 level at this point. As such, I'll be slowly reaching out to everyone who has a dot in the 15-25 range as seen below. You could do me a favor by going to the visualization, turning off everyone but yourself and reviewing any dots of yours showing 15 or more new visits in a day. Let me know in a PM which are real and which aren't. For the ones that aren't, I'll exclude the dot for now and you can work with @JSergeant, @Darren S, or @tes-s to clean up the data. The exclusions are date-specific so as the data get cleaned up, you're information will return to the graphic.

So, @Tdreamer, @E-GAL, @Trailblazer, @txakoli, @Graffi, @DavidB and others. You'll be hearing from me soon.

@theflyer I may have discovered a bug in the daily SC visited visualization? When I selected myself (BM3B) and clicked on a dot like 8/9/2019 I see “Superchargers visited: 574” which is not accurate, I have a max of 82. It may be picking the wrong field, I assume this should be my total as of that date. Here is a screenshot:

Similar issue for me.

I've removed that value from the detail pop-up...not sure how it got there. I think it is the sum-total of all supercharger stops by all competitors at that data point. In the context of this chart, it is a meaningless number.

Yes, my data was lumped back then, so I don't think there's much to be done to be part of this "new competition." Even moreso after the arrival of "the gambler." :)
@Bighorn, to be consistent, I've removed all your data points that are 10 or more. Like @PLUS EV, I'm certain you have more than a few days of 10 or more, but for the integrity of this visualization, I'm going to stick with confirmed day totals.

For those who want to see all of the data, to include known bulk data, I exposed a filter that enables you to toggle that data on. Just include "No" in the filter labeled "Just clean data" Bighorn, PLUS EV and all the other data points will be visible once you also check "No". Your choice how to view this visualization. The default will be to show "clean" data.

Just a few more data points to go to finish the clean-up. Many competitors are digging through calendars, TeslaFi, and one competitor even dug up old credit card statements to determine where his day boundaries were. :)

Here is the current "cleaned" visualization and a version with all data turned on but with the Y-axis still constrained to 40. On the cleaned visualization, evp's data still stands out as needing confirmation. As previously mentioned, NKYTA will be checking his data this weekend.

Thank you for updating Darren S. I have to figure out how to update myself like where the url is.
SC Update again & Thanks again

8/29/2019 - Rancho Cucamonga, CA 12642 Cultural Center Dr.

Thank you for updating Darren S. I have to figure out how to update myself like where the url is.

@hoshino, this has been updated. +1 to 6 now.

I sent you a PM to work on getting you edit access to the spreadsheet.

Edit: @tes-s let me know that you are already configured to edit your column in the spreadsheet. The link to it is in the first post in this thread, Superchargers Visited.
