More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

No pictures today other than documenting what appears to be throttled charging speeds at Superchargers. What used to be 15-20 minute stops are now 20-30 minute stops and the tapering starts noticeably sooner than before. I’ll have to do some more research, but I guess this isn’t much of a surprise considering how much DC fast charging we do.

Anyway, in the bright side, we got some excellent Nashville hot chicken sandwiches from Hattie B’s! Looking forward to being home tomorrow.

These new temporary stations bring up a good question about whether or not they count for the game. I’m thinking YES since they show up on Tesla’s navigation and they could be in place for an extended period of time. This adds a new twist - get ‘em while they’re hot!

There have been plenty of temporary ones in the past. Now in 2021, I think the best determination is if they are on the nav.

The sole Puerto Rico charger is one of these “temporary” setups and it’s been up for over a year now. The first Iceland SC and the Belgrade one are somewhere in between — they are >100 kW (unlike the PR and these ones at 72) but they also arrive on a pre-built “platform” at the destination.

I definitely think the "temporary" ones should count. I'm not even convinced they are actually temporary. Have any of them been removed yet?
Definitely. It has happened before - the original Lone Tree SC had been labeled "temporary" from the start, but it lasted something like 4 years, even a while after its replacement was activated, before it was removed. Many of us have it included in our totals, and would gladly show up at the door of anyone threatening to remove it from the list, for further discussion. With tar and feathers.

When I was at Qualcomm, we had a bunch of pilots in the building. We put up a wall of paper navigation maps covering a good 15 feet of hallway, with pins we could label and stick in at any airports we landed at. I landed at Meigs Field in downtown Chicago; shortly thereafter, Mayor Daley had the runway bulldozed to turn it into a park. I kept bragging rights to that solo pin forever.

> considering how much DC fast charging we do

Throttled for who? Personal cars? Models? Free charging folk?

Throttling for any vehicle that exceeds a certain number of kWhs added through DC fast charging. The threshold seems to be different for each battery pack.

I’ve attached a screen shot of an email that is allegedly from Tesla Service that spells it out pretty clearly. While the limits on our long range Model 3 may be higher than what’s stated below, this seems to be exactly what we are experiencing. For the record, we do not have free Supercharging.

I just looked at the Bethesda MD charger on the spreadsheet. Two "temporary" plugs, opened 1/30/14, closed 11/1/2018. It was part of the first all-supercharger cross-country route, and apparently opened the day *after* two Tesla employees left LA to make the drive:
Tesla's 800-mile cross-country detour

Side note: I wonder if "last" should be called out the same way "first" is, at least for permanently closed superchargers. Maybe not as worthy of bragging rights, though. :D
