More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

phew - arrived in Flagstaff AZ destination from VA after 5 days in saddle with my trusty co-pilot son.
To minimize fatigue, we'd take turns. I'd go from SC-A to SC-B (and then I counted B here), then he'd drive from SC-B to SC-C (and I didnt count C here). Seems straightforward how to play the rules in this case.

Probably have to count autopilot as the 3rd driver. IMO does well 90-x % of the time, until it doesnt. Still some funky occasional phantom braking when passing under an overhead highway sign, or sometimes a bridge. Also freaks out sometimes dealing with merging vehicle coming in from on-ramp.

Can someone refresh my memory as to what I need to do to set up Glympse on a new phone (Pixel 4) - do I need to add a Private Group or does someone need to add me to it? I'm going to be doing a quick trip down the East coast beginning Friday, so I'll give Glympse a try again (I've not had much success with it in the past.)

You'll need an invite from someone in the group. If you send me a message with your cell phone number, I'll add you.

I haven't seen anyone or been able to tell if anyone sees me in that app since that time Bruce commented that he saw me out driving, a LONG time ago. Seems like it's just an academic exercise at this point.
Notifications have been broken for months. Maybe it’s just our group? I’ll send you an invite to a new group to test and see if it works.

My view is whomever drives most of the distance to a supercharger, from the previous charge, gets credit for that supercharger. I would consider charging merely to reset the leg and switch drivers not in the spirit of the game. Just my opinion.

Personally, I log most of my new superchargers driving alone. When I drive with my spouse, I do all - or almost all - the driving.
Yeah I would considering plugging in to an L2 or even L1 just to "reset the leg" to be unsportsmanlike, but other than that, I think the "drive the last 50% (or more) of the leg" rule works just fine.

Congrats on 1200! That’s a sweet looking row of chargers. Glad you made it back safely. Do you have full trip stats you can share?
I'm bad at keeping stats, but the whole trip was roughly 20,000 miles in 43 days. Probably slightly more than 20k miles if you count my day trip to Yakima the day after I got home, slightly less if you don't. Efficiency was ~338 Wh/mi which is the same as my overall average for this S100D over its 160k miles in 3 years and 1 month.

The states I didn't visit were AK HI ID MT WY ND SD MI RI VT NH and ME. So I guess I visited 38 states and Washington, DC.

I'm now up to 27 state high points as I added the high points from LA MS AL FL GA SC NC WV MD PA WI IA and OK on this trip. MD and OK were probably the most memorable as they were somewhat challenging hikes. MD would be much easier in summer but in mid-March it was very muddy due to recent snowmelt. Getting to and from the high points in an EV can be an added challenge as they are often far removed from the supercharger highway. Peachtree Corners, GA supercharger > GA high point > SC high point > Asheville, NC supercharger was a tight leg. Weston, WV supercharger > WV high point > MD high point > PA high point > La Vale, MD supercharger was even tighter. Black Mesa in the OK panhandle was probably only made possible by the recent addition of the Clayton, NM supercharger. Otherwise you'd have to do a white-knuckle out and back from Trinidad or some campground L2 charging, neither of which I had the patience for at that point of my trip.

I also caught a game at the new MLB stadium in Arlington, TX so I have yet again seen a game at every current MLB stadium. This game ended up being a no-hitter which is sort of a lifetime achievement for a baseball fan so that was very cool. It was the first one I had ever witnessed in the hundreds of games I've attended (I actually worked at the Mariners stadium for 3 seasons but I've attended hundreds not even counting that). This no-hitter was the first ever in San Diego Padres history. They had been the only team in MLB to never throw a no-hitter so that made it even more special. And there were no errors and no walks(!) which makes it much more rare than the typical no-hitter. The only Rangers base runner was a hit batsman in the 4th inning.

I was going to skip Bishop and especially Santa Ysabel on the way home, but with the Bellevue supercharger being finicky, I didn't want to get home and be stuck on 1199 superchargers as I really wanted to hit 1200. So I decided to hit Bishop which was a GREAT drive as mentioned above, and then my family was doing spring break at an Airbnb in Palm Springs so I decided to go see them for a couple hours and hit Santa Ysabel just for the sake of completeness. That drive from Coachella Valley up over the top to NE San Diego county is a good one. I had done it many times in my gambling days (lots of casinos in both Palm Springs area and rural SD county), but it was good to do it again and I'd recommend it to anyone. Those backroads are way more fun than battling traffic on I-215 or whatever.

Excellent summary and great trip @PLUS EV ! Congrats on the high points as well, very cool. 20k is epic, nearly once around the globe and all in the US. What’s harder, clearing a state or finding the low or high point?

Seems like the notification bug extends to other groups, as well. To make things worse, I’m unable to generate invite codes to the private group - it displays a failure message. Can one of the other members try to invite a new member and report back? You don’t actually have to invite someone, just click the add person button and enter any phone number - it’ll either fail or start composing a text message to that number with an invite code, which you can cancel without actually sending. Clear as mud?

Looks like a few invites were attempted yesterday, unsuccessfully. Glympse shows them as being invited on 12/31/69. Seems like a glitch in our group and I’m not sure what the next step is, short of reaching out to Glympse customer service... however one does that.

Have I asked what you do for a living that you have time to do a 43 day road trip in the middle of the year? I did a cross country motorcycle trip when I had six weeks saved vacation and ended up getting sick on the drive home and had to lay over at a friends for more than an additional week. By the time I got back I was confused what work was for.

I was (mostly) taking a sabbatical in 2019 which turned out to be bad timing for a sabbatical. It turned into 2 years! I definitely don't know what work is right now lol.

Varies greatly by state! For New Jersey, it's definitely easier to go to the high point. In Alaska, it's easier to clear the superchargers.

Low points are a funny topic. I joked with some friends that I might try to hit all the low points of the Rocky Mountain states as the high points are obviously quite difficult (most of my 27 high points are the easy ones!). Other than the oceans, Gulf of Mexico, and Great Lakes, I think the only low point I've been to is Illinois which is kind of a cool spot at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers near Cairo (pronounced Kay-row), Illinois. I was speaking with a friendly local at the park there and he was wondering why I kept going deeper and deeper into the Mississippi Mud. I think he thought I was crazy when I explained that I was trying to get to the lowest point in Illinois!
