Tesla App Zoomed in When You First Open

Anyone else having this issue? When you first open the Tesla app the house image is zoomed in so far that you can't even see any of the readings. The app slowly pans out to where the whole house and all of the meters come into the display. This happens every time you completely close the app or open it up the next day

So they did this intentionally? What person thought this would be a good idea? Who wants to wait several minutes to see their system? I just want to open the app and quickly see everything

It zooms quickly on iPhone but never loads like the OP's example on iPad.

I'm seeing this as well (iOS). It started with 4.28 where both the car animations would "loop" forever and the house animation would slowly zoom in over the course of a 2-3 minutes (I did a screen recording to time it and it took right at 2:30 to fully load).

iOS app version 4.28.1 fixed the car animation for me, but the home animation is still horribly broken.

How does one report these types of bugs to Tesla? I don't see how this even made it past QA to be released, but that's another topic altogether.

What do you mean by works? Means in pans out quickly or it doesn't zoom in at all?

on my iphone 13, it zooms in extremely quickly (which is probably the desired action, if I were to guess). I dont use the Tesla app on my ipad.

Same here. iPhone 15 Pro loads the animation fast. iPad mini 6 never really loads unless you walk away for ten minutes.

Update the app to the latest version

People with Sumsungs are also having this same issue with the latest Tesla app update

I saw this too the first time after my app updated (Android). The next day it opened without issue.

Wait until you don't use it a while or completely close the app, and then restart it.

Happening on my 2 year old iPhone 12. Very annoying. Is there a practical reason for the zooming out of the graphics apart from looking "pretty".

App version 4.28.1 on iPhone SE (version 2), iOS 16.16.1, animation of home graphic is very slow, over 2 minutes to complete the zoom.

Interesting. At first, a few days ago I knew something is different on my older iPhone SE, iOS 15.8. It loads quickly but the effect is some kind of a zooming action. App is 4.28.1.
They didn't ask my opinion if it needs changing.

Starts off zoomed in and quickly zooms out as tesla intended. I pad, it takes several minutes to fully zoom out.
