Ooh, ooh.... Just got the change on my account to "We will shortly upload a copy of your final invoice to your Tesla account. Following this, a delivery representative will contact you to arrange final payment."

Progress is exciting!

Maybe there are a certain number of refreshes required before you progress on to the next step. Only the committed will succeed.

Yes, existing S/X owners do jump the queue (so long as they placed a reservation at any time). As advised directly to me by Tesla

So you are upset that Tesla is rewarding customers who, through their early purchase of higher-margin product are ensuring the financial viability of the business and who through their repeat purchase of Tesla product are showing extraordinary customer loyalty and are likely to be Tesla product promotors?

At this stage, I am willing to make a bet that you are not successfully employed in the retail industry.

Delivery specialist finally got through to me today (Have limited mobile coverage) and confirmed all my details and advised invoice will show up before end of week. Advised delivery will be early September for Perth, couldn't confirm if SR+ comes with floor mats, but closer to date will advise of accessories available.
Also just noticed my hidden VIN changed by two serial numbers today.
Feeling very lucky being in first batch.

You made me go back and look at mine. mine has changed by 5.

Wha?? You're arguing the same point. Nuclear said existing owners get priority...and they do, what's going on here?

I believe especially in Australia the term "queue jumping" has a particularly negative connotation, so I interpreted Nuclear Fusion's initial reference to Model S/X owner jumping the reservation queue as a complaint, rather than merely a statement of fact.

I personally think that Tesla should, and is doing whatever will make them the most amount of money in the shortest possible time. That is the obligation to stockholders, in addition to delivering sustainable growth.

Sometimes these decisions give us poor customer experiences, and affect the ultimate amount of money they make. It is a double edged sword.

I don’t have shares in Tesla (I wish I did and if there’s a way to buy them from AUS that’s hedges against the US currency, let me know). Even without owning shares I hope they make an absolute boat load of money, to be very successful and ensure we have great service in the long term and to help the planet transition to a renewable economy.

Long time listener, first time caller. Its been a very entertaining 257 pages, thanks all! My P3- 488XXX VIN just disappeared and now praying for a 44XXXX new one.

For those of you that haven't driven one yet, I'm so excited for you. I drove a friend's in California and it was a life changing experience. Enough to make me upgrade from my 10 speed Malvern Star I've been driving/riding for the last 12 years (0-15 kph in 8 seconds, 27.5" wheels).

In 12 month's time we'll all be driving around our M3s and this waiting will all be but a happy memory. If any Aus&NZ Tesla peeps are reading this thread, we are all rooting for you.

Hi youmi

I am not advising you to buy Tesla shares. I just note that I purchased a few through CommSec - i.e. they have the capacity to let you invest in international shares... for a small fee...

If you think waiting for a Model 3 is a wee bit stressful, I can tell you that investing in Tesla shares takes that to a completely different level ;)

all imho

For sure, no financial advise. I’m familiar with ComSec but I didn’t think they offered hedging for international share purchases. As the AU dollar is so low, it seems like a bad time to buy US shares for me, as any increase in AUD is going to offset growth in the US shares. Am I making sense?
