Just called about my delivery scheduled for 4PM today at Pond Springs... Car is still in California...

This is the second missed delivery date and I've got a few weeks of travel coming up. It's a bit frustrating because it feels like there's no path of escalation to point out, "You've missed your delivery date twice. Can you please prioritize putting my car on a truck ASAP?".

There may not be a formal channel for escalation but you can always call the 1-888 number and ask to speak to your IDA and if that doesn't work ask the customer rep to keep escalating until someone is will to talk to you. Don't hang up until someone from the inside delivery team (Supervisor or higher) gets on the phone with you.

I did that when my IDA went AWOL on my and I told the customer rep that I don't care if she has to escalate to Elon Musk but get someone NOW. Finally she got hold of a senior manager and I got a call from one of the supervisors. Things went about much smoother after that.

Oh and another guy and I also filed BBB complaints, now both him and I are getting our cars ahead of our rescheduled delivery dates. Not sure if there is any correlation but doesn't hurt to try.

Potentially good news for me. Just checked United Road and my car has been assigned to a new truck! Said truck is local too, in Haltom City right now. Highly possible that it's on the way to the rail jail, but that's a supposition. All in all it seems promising. I'm going to keep monitoring. Fingers crossed!

Is there a way to check the status of a filed BBB complaint? I realized I never got an email confirmation.

You won't get a confirmation but as long as you have a case number you are fine. What BBB would do is they will review the case and notify Tesla. Once they have notified Tesla you will get an email with a link to your case portal, that's where all the communication will take place.

Just checked UR tracking website. Shows my car and 18 others as still in rail jail awaiting pickup...

Funny, I've had the car since late Saturday afternoon.

Suspect that at least 8 to 9 others made the undocumented trip with mine, perhaps all.

Very strange! I see your VIN is about 8000 before my 060xxx, and you list a build date of 7/18. Where did you find the build date? They initially told me they had an M3 for my configuration on 7/22. I guess VINs are not sequential to the build?

My M3 is in the Westchase SC for a minor paint/clearcoat flaw that is invisible in direct light, but is very visible in indirect light. They gave me a P85D loaner with the performance limited. Seems kinda boaty compared to the M3!

got teased with a sept 3 delivery date, vin linked to app and everything then got the rug pulled out Monday nght and vin delinked from the app. Tesla site back to “late Sept” for delivery. Now 29 days since paid in full.

Wait. How did you pay in full without a VIN? They sold you something (very expensive) and can’t just take it back. If you have a loan, the bank expects collateral with that VIN

Sticker on the inside of your driver door should have the manufacture date (month and year) on the top left. Mine is 7/18.

Texas requires full payment before the car can be shipped. I haven't even received the car yet, but had a 9/3 delivery date on my account. I've been delayed again. The VIN comes then it goes away after a delay. I have Tesla Delivery fatigue now. I can't feel anything anymore. I think I need therapy.

My signature has been updated with the pertinent dates. I've got a 7/18 build but I have no idea whether it is an early month build or a late month build. Your build date (Month/Year) is on the driver's side B pillar. My 7/23/18 full payment was based on a VIN that they later took away. Which is why I didn't return the registration packet until delivery just in case they changed it on me again.

It's been reported for a while that VINs are not issued sequentially; I guess so no one can know how many cars have been built until Tesla reports their numbers.

My car is sitting just beyond the event horizon (LNR Services - Lathrop Hub) with a status of 'Ready for transport to rail station'.

Does anyone know what rail path they take into Houston and if there is a way to track it?
Yes to the first question, No to the second.

Sorry to tease, Will post this evening with maps and descriptions. I've got it all plotted out in a Google Maps kmz file at home.

Just another data point for those keeping track,

Aug 24: Fully paid
Radio silence since then. Got a few details today.
Aug 28: Apparently it left Richmond, Texas. *I'd think, given this thread that they meant Richmond, CA, as I think it seems like that would be the entry point for the rail system, right?*

tentative dates;;;
Sept 11: The IDA mentioned the logistics system shows it should arrive at Cedar Springs
Sept 13: Delivery Date

Wow, you're still getting tentative dates? It is important to highlight the word "tentative" My delivery advisor wouldn't dare. Mine only says "late september" now. Just curious, what took you so long to pay in full?

Aug 10: I got an email from a delivery specialist with charging information and how they needed my trade-in title to consider a trade -- this was my first contact. Immediately replied, but my IDA would only read my first line of each email, and I tried to explain I don't have a title as its on an active loan. Etc... Back and forth, but they seriously did not understand what I meant by my bank has the title of my trade-in.

Aug 11-13: was the weekend and my IDA was out on Friday and then Sick on Monday.

Aug 14: I call the main number, figure out this trade thing, since the IDA was not helpful, and move along. I get pre-approval for my Model 3 loan

Before the MVPA comes through Payoff and Trade in value needed to be set. Now we are going back and forth on needing to get a payoff amount, but the IDA wouldn't read my email of me asking "What day do I need to request a pay-off day for on the trade in?" It was like pulling teeth. I finally just said, does September 5th work? since the IDA would not give me a date even though I asked multiple times. This was back and forth until the 16th or so.

Let's just say the payoff seemed good, now they needed to match Carmax. That took another day. Now waiting on MVPA

Aug 21: MVPA comes in. I have a tentative delivery now of Sept 6th

Aug 23: Bank mails check.

Aug 24: Bank check arrived in Vegas. I make an ACH to fully fund. Tentative delivery date of Sept 12th.

Check My Tesla page, delivery date shows Sept 13th. Ask my IDA why they said the 12th but the website shows the 13th. They reply with go by what the My Tesla pages shows and that the date is tentative on the car being delivered to dallas in time for delivery.

Then add the info I just got today:
Aug 28: Apparently it left Richmond, Texas. *I'd think, given this thread that they meant Richmond, CA, as I think it seems like that would be the entry point for the rail system, right?*

tentative dates;;;
Sept 11: The IDA mentioned the logistics system shows it should arrive at Cedar Springs
Sept 13: Delivery Date

Oh yeah... since the trade didn't happen yet they need a new payoff date. Wtf. This whole process has been dealing with confusion on my IDA's side about making the trade-in process as painful as possible. Hindsight I should have just took my down payment, paid off my current loan, got my title in hand, and used the rest of the cash as a down payment, that way none of this would have slowed down any of the process.

Anyways, now it seems like the car is heading by rail because of my IDA saying it left richmond, so my hopes of my current delivery date making it are insanely low.
