Upon Delivery: How much charge do they put on?

Tried doing a search on this and any combination of words brings up a whole bunch of unrelated stuff. Apologize if has been answered before.

I expect a MS 85D the week after Christmas and depending upon the day we will be hopping into the car from the service center in Tampa to South Beach Miami for New Years. There is a SC nearby in Brandon so worst case we would top it off there and on to Ft. Myers for the next leg. Then to Plantation SC and Miami. If they take it to 90% I can skip Brandon and go straight to Fort Myers (skipping Brandon). All sorts of if ands and buts. I'm curious.

When you have taken delivery. How much charge is on the car?

I'll be damned. I asked this question thinking I'd get the car later because yesterday it still showed in production (12 days so I was anxious). I sent a email (yesterday, Sunday) to the inside sales rep and a few hours later My Telsa showed in transit and the dates changed for delivery from late Dec-Jan to Dec 28th-Jan 9. Ok cool right? Today the DS calls and schedules delivery for Dec 29th 10AM. I was telling a online friend I hope they got all the nuts 'n bolts tight before they put it on that trailer.

So...picking up on the 29th is a moot point. I'll bring it home and charge it for the trip to Miami.

Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.

Mine was delivered 2 weeks early, at Christmas 2013. What other company delivers early during the holidays? My car just turned 2 years old Dec 16th, the most amazing driving/service experience I have ever had.

Car was at 60% at delivery, and we charged on the supercharger while the delivery specialist walked my wife through all of the details of the car. The time it took for the training was enough to fully charge.
We bought CPO and the car had almost 60000 km on it, but still range charged to 97+% of original capacity!

I can't remember because I handed it right back to them. FIPete picked it up from the Tampa service center to do Xpel, Opticoat, and window tint.

At any rate, the service center will probably be happy to charge it to whatever level you want if you ask in advance. Plus the supercharger is just a couple miles away and Ft. Myers is only 134 miles so you don't need anywhere near 100%.

OMG...have me so excited now...I dunno. ...I'm almost as excited as when a new baby was on its way. And this isn't the most expensive car I ever bought. But by far the coolest I think.

Just the experience that Tesla gives upon delivery is off the hook as I read. I have not told my wife about any of that yet. But the anecdotal evidence especially the CPO referenced above. Tesla doesn't forget. (BTW: Congratulations SpaceX for planting the landing! How cools it that!)
