VIN Assignment

Yesterday I realized that I may have been calling my inside sales advisor (ISA) my delivery specialist (DS). IIRC, when I first engaged with Tesla, they said I didn't have a DS and they would assign one. Two hours later I go a call from Tesla from a woman whose email signature says "Sales Advisor". Are these two roles the same or will I get in contact with another person at Tesla with a designation of DS?

Did anyone who got their VIN this weekend get contacted by their DS yesterday or are we all stuck waiting until Monday to move on the the next step

In answer to your question, I was contacted by my Sales Advisor yesterday after receiving my VIN this weekend.

It sounds like there are SAs who do work on the weekend. I'm just not certain if they are working 7 days per week at the end of the quarter to make as many deliveries as possible.

Highest reported VINs are blue with sport wheels. White should be next and then black. This is based on the color pattern of black, midnight silver, silver, red, blue, white. It then starts over. This has been the rough pattern as of now.

I'm sorting the sheet by color and VIN. White has reported VINs in the 5000s, 6000s, 7000s and 8000s. Black has reported VINs only as high as the 6000s, and has a very small amount of reported VINs in the 5000s and 6000s.

Why do you believe white is next vs black being next?

There is roughly a pattern that repeats.

Black, midnight silver, silver, red, blue and white. Start over. The most recent VINs have been sport wheels. If the pattern continues, after the white with sport wheels, it should start with black/aero.

Someone in here reported a 93xx black VIN and another in the 76xx range.

In terms of actual production, white should come after the reported blue VINs in the 99xx range if the pattern continues. There should be black VINs being assigned that were already produced in the 93xx range, etc.

So perhaps there are hundreds of black cars that are awaiting assignment?

ISA is Inside Sales Advisor. Delivery Specialist handles the delivery details for us. My ISA is out of the office until tomorrow. She had at least a three day weekend. I’ve not been assigned a DS yet I guess.

They may be getting that ramp going pretty well unless some of these deliveries are from some cars that were sitting in lots for a bit.
This is the most interesting current mystery, in my mind. We've had VIN assignments in the past several days ranging from 70xx (or lower) all the way up to 99xx (soon to be higher, obviously). That's several thousand cars assigned in the past few days, which follows a long period of few if any VIN assignments. Presumably the cars in the 7xxx were made some time ago, yet got held up from delivery for some reason. Battery pack? (This assumes that the 99xx vehicles have been manufactured, as opposed to being merely a Twinkle in Tesla's Eye, with hopes of making and delivering them locally in CA in the waning days of Q1.) Going to be a really interesting three weeks, operationally, to be sure.
