I was checking my Tesla account too often while waiting to configure and waiting for my VIN. I saw the VIN assigned after midnight - technically it would have been April 3. I got the call from Tesla on Wednesday afternoon - a bit over a day and a half after getting my VIN.
And thank you! Yes, I took delivery at Marina del Rey on Friday. I'm surprised I'm not sitting in the car right now. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that it's here. Both my wife and I remarked that our necks hurt from one of us punching the accelerator when driving without warning the other one first. It is a good soreness.

It’s odd how they assign the VINs. I got my MSM aero VIN last Tuesday and it’s 141xx. This week’s MSM Aeros are lower numbers. Still no word from the ISA. Today, perhaps? Today marks Week 6 of my “3-5 week” delivery window. My loan app expires today and now I’ll have to pay another application fee. Thanks Tesla. I wish they had just told me 7-10 weeks. Then, if they had delivered early, all the better. This waiting and planning is killing me.

To be clear, you receive a call AFTER you receive the VIN. There isn't any communication between configuration and VIN assignment.
The invite spreadsheet is spot on for config -> VIN days for CA

End of March/Quarter my brother and sister got a call within 2 days of getting VIN. It seems to be much longer now according to posts and the spread sheet.
For me the waiting gets a lot worse with each step closer.
On this forum, I've seen people reporting same day to as long as 11 days and counting. I'm at 9 days today and nothing so far. Hope we both get the call soon and quick delivery (which again, I've seen 1 day from the call to up to two weeks in SoCal)!

This happened to me about a week before I got my vin. Not sure if there is really any correlation, but that's my experience.

Configured 3/28, no VIN yet - MSM Aero EAP
I am experiencing the same issue. The documents were available a couple hours ago and have now disappeared. I hope this is a sign of the page being refreshed w/VIN but afraid to get my hopes up.

Interesting. Looks like for Aero most colors are taking about 25 days from Configuration to VIN assignment.
I wonder there's some kind of supply bottleneck with Aero wheels? Looks to be about twice as many Aeros as Sport wheels.
I got the VIN on 4/6, still not receive any delivery call yet.

As the pace of production & delivery increases, if Tesla has not hired more people, it will take more days ?
So can we talk about Aero wheels. Is there some shortage? Is this why Aero VINs are taking extremely long to assign? If I knew this was the case I would have sprung for the 19”s.
