Tomorrow marks my 1 month since my OD and it feels like eternity lol. EDD is 09/5 - 10-10
MYP, white/white, tow, no FSD
Day 1 of my latest EDD window and the silence is deafening. I've gotten two "***IMPORTANT Info Regarding Tesla Delivery- PLEASE READ***" emails from Richmond_ordersupport and a call asking if I had a trade-in... So it's gotta be close, right?? Still no VIN tho.
I waited 826 days to take delivery of my FPM3 (from the time I put my deposit down), I got this. I think. I hope.

Took delivery today. A nearly flawless car. Was a little bit dirty from sitting outside all day, wiped most of it off and didn't find any scratches. A seemingly very slight mis-alignment on the trunk top trim (which might actually be fixed by adjusting the rubber stoppers inside the trunk lid). Documented it, specialist said it was "within spec" of course. If I'm still not happy after playing around with the rubber stoppers in the morning, I'll put in a service request. Came with the Model Y license plate trim as well!
When did you order?Just got bumped to 9/1-9/15. Hopefully this doesn’t become the norm
Congrats! I'm taking delivery on Saturday from the Tysons location! A few questions-
- Did you receive the mobile connector with yours? I've heard a lot of people that order after the cutoff date still getting them.
- Which tires did you get?
- About how long was the delivery process start to finish?
I got a mobile connector in mine as well as the license plate frame. With the 19' Geminis I got the Continental tires. So I got there half an hour early and inspected the car pretty thoroughly, but once my appointment came around, paperwork and temp tags took under 10 mins. Plan for an hour with inspection and all, but I'd say in and out within 30 minutes if things go well.
Got our MSM, 7-seat, LR, with tow yesterday at Tyco road dealership. So very happy and just in time for school and the need to tote several kids around! Car really looked nice and everything seems lined up. Drivers side door had a tiny ding at the edge (~1cm x 1mm, very shallow). We were fine with them putting a dab of paint on it and calling it a day. Bluetooth took three tries to sync but one drive around town and to work was all it needed to calibrate. Mobile connector came with it and the technician made a big deal about how we were getting the new headlights and some sort of new interior door panel…I have never really cared about any of the details of this car beyond the passenger capacity and the fact that it does not use gas so that was a nice bonus that someone else might find helpful to know about.
We got a great rate from a local credit union and showed up with the tracking number of the payment from the lender to Tesla, paid down payment in the app and we were good to go.
Every human being on the phone and at the dealership we have interacted with has been so nice but I can’t say that I’m impressed with the system…we ordered our car on 9/11/2021 so waited almost a year. Love the car but would love it 100x more if I had not felt so jerked around by the process.
