How far are you from Fremont? My OD is 4/3 and I am in 40 mi from the Tesla factory. I suspect they issue VINs for the cars that need to be delivered to other states first in order to complete their quarter goals.

I texted my SA yesterday, and they said my delivery is expected within my original delivery dates of 10/22/22-1/23/23.

I had a 2 weeks window in October from 10/6-10/20. Received an email and a message asking me to complete my pre-delivery tasks, applied for a loan, got a call about the trade-in. Then on 10/8 it was changed to 11/30-12/31. So, that 2 weeks span means nothing.

Tesla won't give us a chance to "schedule for delivery" UNTIL we load (1) proof of insurance and (2) full payment... My case

I am picking up my model Y tomorrow 12/2 and it is a 2023 VIN. I just got a final price adjustment with at $3750 referral credit, so I have a negative balance now before pickup. I guess I got really lucky.
