I agree that the whole ordering delivery process is ridiculous. However, I waited 4 months and the car is easily worth it in the end.
Strange that you don't have a delivery date as there are 8 x M3P+ sitting in inventory right now, and 2 are Midnight Silver colour.

My first post since picking up car last Tuesday. After 4 months of waiting, many false starts and a lot of time spent on forums and YouTube I can finally say it was all worth it! Best car I have ever driven.
Someone else said it’s like being 18 again and getting your first car. Exactly. I...
@Chuck305 out of interest, what is the letter in the 10th position of your VIN?
K=2019 L=2020
I'm working on a theory that the 2020 stealths have started using the "C" at the 8th position?
My P3D- is right there with yours @WoodWombat so fingers crossed all goes well. It looks like you were the one who started this thread, so surely that gives so some good karma to work with...?
On a slightly separate note, I cancelled my Model 3 order today! But this is actually good news for a couple of reasons...
I have finally tracked down a P3D- which is the car I've been chasing for the last 3 months!
There is now a white P3D+ on the Synergy Keelung with a VIN that's about to be...
I just spoke to them today and they were very helpful. They said the invoice usually gets issued about 7-10 days before delivery. So they call you once a hidden VIN is assigned to get the ball rolling (loan approval, etc). Then when the delivery date is confirmed they ask Tesla for an...
@Jennny99999 - I'm in the same boat (literally!). According to @Vedaprime 's spreadsheet our cars arrive on the Synergy Keelung 22nd Nov. So that could mean a delivery just before Christmas?
@Bleach888 did you check the source code of the web page Tesla SSO – Login ? If you're using the Firefox browser you can simply add "view-source:" to the beginning of the web address (view-source:Tesla SSO – Login)
@z06tim I don't know if you have some cosmic or psychic abilities, but I just got a call from my local Tesla rep and has found me a P3D- !!! A handful literally came into inventory today. I can't believe it - still doesn't feel real! Very happy to say the least... :):):)
Thanks to everyone...
I know what you mean @RayCanuck . After test driving the SR+ I was surprised by how quick it was. If only I hadn't taken the P3D+ for a test drive... that ruined all other cars for me ;-)
Yes I am in Australia, which limits the number of cars we get shipped due to the fact that we are a much smaller market than the US or Europe. Plus we are right-hand drive, so that limits the options even further.
I know how you feel @Speedy901 . I've been close to that point a few times too. Which car did you have on order? Someone might be getting their car earlier than expected in that case...
Hello all,
I thought I'd post a new thread on this topic even though the question has been asked many times.
My dilemma: after waiting 4 months from order date to being allocated a hidden VIN I have had way too much time to toss up between the P3D+ I have on order vs the "more sensible" LR...
A very timely post as I’m awaiting delivery of my first Tesla (P3D+) after 10 years of owning Lexus. I‘ve have had 3 x RX350’s over that time and each one was great. The quality, features, comfort and luxury of Lexus is better than all the competition in my opinion. The customer service is...
Website still says Dec for AWD so there probably is an excess. Here's an idea Tesla - upgrade all the excess AWDs to P3D- and they will be sold in about 5 minutes...
@Kilak - I have the same VIN range as you 5YJ3F7EC8LF4886xx but no call or invoice yet. I wonder if that means my car will arrive on the same boat as yours? @Vedaprime - do you know if VIN ranges are typically split across different boats or more likely to be on the same one?
My one (and only) email from the delivery team was on 29th Oct stating that Feb was the expected delivery date. Since then, I've been allocated a hidden VIN but no call and no further emails. So some progress, but I don't think I'll see my car this year, which is OK as long as it doesn't get...
Looks like there will be quite a few Lexus’ on the market at the end of this year. Add mine to the list also. On a side note, after owing 3 Lexus’ over the past 10 years their service is impeccable. Maybe they can teach Tesla a thing or two?

Purely from my observations there seems to be a lack of Blue P+ with White interiors being delivered? The more "standard" colours seem to be getting through.
Had a call from Peppers Finance today and after seeing all the posts on here I checked the page source on my account and a hidden VIN has appeared!
Model 3 Performance (White on Black)

The Tesla website now lists delivery ETA for SR+ and P3D as Feb but the LR AWD still says Dec. So you may be in with a chance to get it before the end of the year?
@meowsers what did you do with the original 20" wheels? Are these something people want to buy? I'm asking because I plan on getting rid of the 20" wheels as soon as my P3D+ arrives and swapping them with 18" like you.
You don't know anyone in Australia do you... LOL? I've been chasing a P3D- for months now. Got a P3D+ on order but I really don't want the 20" wheels, or the larger brakes, or the lowered suspension, or the spoiler for that matter!
@Tygar you don't want to swap for a white/black P3D+ do you? ETA is Feb2020. I want the performance but not the 20" wheels, larger brakes, lowered suspension, spolier, etc.
No official delivery date, but when I ordered in late Aug the website said Oct was the expected delivery timeframe. Now it's Feb 2020 (or perhaps Mar/Apr as people who've been through this process speculate. Good thing I didn't payout the lease on my existing car!
This whole Tesla thing is...
Yay! It's only taken 3 years longer than expected here in Aust...
In theory though, the wait should translate into a more refined build quality, plus there are more public chargers around than there were 3 years ago. Glass half-full.
Hi all,
I've got a Performance Model 3 on order which is due to be delivered in the next few weeks. However, as I've been patiently waiting, I've done a lot of research and the Long Range version is looking very appealing.
The challenge where I live (Melbourne, Australia) is that Tesla only...
