Seems like the news regarding China seems to be hitting the mainstream. I was wondering why the stock wasn't up earlier with the news about them wanting to build cars in China, I guess those few hours is the time advantage we as "insiders" seem to have on the rest of the market.

I think this giga-factory announcement is going to be the biggest thing Tesla has ever announced up until this point. Not just because the factory will physically be very large, but also because this is the missing link between Tesla being just a small niche company, and a juggernaut completely...

I don't think people realize how awesome this is! Christian von Koenigsegg engineers and builds million dollar hyper cars so I think its fair to say he knows a thing or two about what makes a car special. For him to hold Tesla in such high regard speaks volumes. Glad to see him on our side :smile:

Perhaps they just offered to pay for any damages done to the car but the owner declined because there was no damage done to the car? Notice how this suspicious article is very vague on that part.

I've sold all my options and instead bought some long term shares for my core position. If earnings is a blowout I think it's possible we could never be less then 200 again so I wanted to take advantage of getting shares at this price. I'm going to wait to buy calls till after earnings because...

I'm thinking Elon has the results already and is going to release them during earnings, and because he's waiting till earnings they must be something special. Something more than just "no recall" but also a comment from the NHTSA that because of the batteries the metal objects were not able to...

So I've always just held shares/LEAPs through earnings, and never really paid attention to IV and how it fluctuates before and after. I am currently holding some feb 22 200 calls now though worth 10.44. So after earnings the stock will have to be above 210 or so for them to retain this price...

I think a pop to 200 with NHTSA news, then a solid Q4 will keep us over 200 and then some. I suspect we've shaken out any weak longs and lured in shorts with the sort of erratic price action we've seen lately. The conditions just seem right for the next big move up.

It just seems inevitable we are going to test the previous ATHs now, and I'm thinking it will happen this week. Although there hasn't been huge news per se to send the stock flying, it's at least been all positive. It will be volatile as always as we approach earnings, and I'm sure we will get...

I think we still need that one big catalyst to reach new ATHs, like positive NHTSA results or a great earnings report. All the positive news out now should provide good support though in the coming weeks.
