Try turning off smart charging (devices - intelligent octopus - scroll to bottom). Then turn it back on. Whenever I’ve had issue setting schedules this seems to fix it
Haha sure would. In all fairness to him he is on holiday from wed and said I could feel free to use when needed.
Pod point finally returned my call and they’ve suggested it’s an issue with auto clamp - power balancing. Had to send some photos over via email and hopefully I’ll get some sort of a...
So, midnight was the start of the schedule, again the car hasn’t started charging and the light is now red again on the podpoint. When I first plug the car in it starts charging, so there’s a connection there, until it stops when IO interrupts (as it should).
Anyone know if this is a pod point...
Thanks mate. Having turned on and off at the consumer unit the pod point is now flashing green when plugged into the car so fingers crossed it charges tonight.
Ive switched the podpoint off and on at the fuse and flicked smart charging off and on in the octopus app. Pod point now flashing green as I’d expect. See if it charges tonight I guess.
Hi all, hoping someone can help me diagnose an issue.
Yesterday I plugged my car into my podpoint as always, it stopped charging after a minute or so, and the octopus app set the schedule accordingly. When opening the car today I realised it hadn’t charged.
I’ve just got home, plugged in...
Not had an issue prior but I plugged in when I got home at 6pm and octopus is yet to schedule my charge tonight. I’ve tried starting and stopping a charge in the Tesla app to wake it up but still nothing.
Any ideas?
To be fair would do me good to use a supercharger and learn the ease of the process. What’s the etiquette re waiting for a free charger to become available? Looking at the map it’ll be keele services southbound I’ll use on the way home. Only 4 chargers there so every chance all 4 could be in use...
Thanks for the detailed response. I’ll charge to 100% tonight for be ready for 06:30 in the morning. So to precondition do I just go onto the Tesla app, schedule, precondition, set departure time to 06:45 and click precondition to on?
Hello all, just had a read through of this thread as having owned my model y RWD for 5 weeks now I’ve not preconditioned once. Being in the uk it’s not exactly cold so hadn’t considered the need. On Tuesday I need to do a 215 mile round trip for work and this will be right at the limit for my...
Hi, yes it’s been constant since Thursday when the software updated. I’ve just driven 40 miles on this journey and it’s been restricted the whole way. I’ll try the 2 push reset
Hello all
Since my software updated this week I’ve constantly had restricted regen regardless of outside temp or state of charge. I’ve no idea why as haven’t had this occur prior to the software update.
Hello all,
Been using IO for 3 weeks and all has been fine (pod point charger). I’ve plugged in approx an hour ago, and stopped the charge via the Tesla app. IO hasn’t set a smart schedule. This is the first time it has happened.
Any ideas?
Thanks all
EDIT - schedule now set. Took a lot...
Hello all
Considering an aftermarket rear entertainment screen in my model y for the kids. Wondered if anyone has fitted one they can recommend? Found a couple online that come from China and work using apple car play or android auto. As well as entertainment they can control the climate from...
Thanks all, appreciate the comments. Interesting to see a few mentioning always using in traffic. Will have to get used to it more on quieter motorways before I keep it engaged in traffic.
Hello all
I’ve now had my model y for 10 days and absolutely love it. Driving to a meeting today I decide to brave trying autopilot on a quiet stretch of motorway. Worked nicely although I’m unsure I’m confident enough to use on busier stretches yet.
Question is, how often do you use it...
Hello all
Only way I seem to be able to remove my pod point charger from my new model y is to unlock the car, and press unlock charge port on the screen inside the car.
I must be missing something obvious surely? Is there a way of doing this without going into the car and using the screen...
one more Q if anyone can help - cars now charging fine as per proposed schedule. In the morning is there anywhere I can look to see exactly how much the charge cost me? To ensure it has been charged at off peak hours?
Hello all,
My model y arrived yesterday. I ran the test schedule for IO today which was incredibly simple and authorised the move to IO in approx 5 mins. I’ve just plugged in and told octopus I want 100% charge by 7am. The app instantly gave the schedule shown in the photo - am I interpreting...
Hello all
Had my model y delivered today. Updated the software etc but I don’t appear to have apple music as an option: any ideas? Do I have to manually add it? Spotify is there but I’m an Apple Music subscriber.
Cheers
Had my y delivered approx 2pm via a trailer which was unexpected but pleasant surprise. Already swapped out the Gemini wheel covers and updated software. I don’t have Apple Music showing anywhere. Any ideas?
Thanks mate. I’ve no schedules set up on pod point yet as haven’t had an ev since I had it installed. So do I set how much charge I want and by what time In the octopus app?
Hi mate just jumping on this as my Tesla arrives today and I’ll be doing the test charge to move to IO. Do you schedule all your charging in the car, on the octopus app or via pod point? Thanks
Thanks mate, really appreciate the response. Mines via leaseplan too. Had the text yday that deliv will be 8am - end of day. Hopefully I’ll have a text at some point today confirming the delivery company.
Enjoy the car!!!
Lovely stuff mate. 24 hours for me yet haha. How did the delivery process go? Am I right in thinking it’s a lease? If so, have you access in the app yet and premium connectivity?
Not sure there’s much rhyme or reason to it. I only got my reg text through my Tesla yday and my delivery date is this Friday. I have friends who are also receiving their car this Friday and they had their reg text through approx 3 weeks ago.
Tesla still telling my my model y will be delivered to my home address on Friday, yet the vehicle reg isn’t available!!! I’m definitely starting to worry I won’t have the car Friday…
Spoke to both Tesla and the lease company who said it’s perfectly normal…I’m not so convinced. Will give it till Monday and then chase again. As long as the car is delivered 03/03 I will be happy…
Evening everyone. I ordered a model y back on 13/01 via a lease company and received a text on 24/01 confirming delivery date of 03/03.
I’m now only 11 days away from expected delivery date and don’t have a reg assigned. I’ve spoke to Tesla chat who’ve given me a VIN but they’ve confirmed no...
