The 1000 orders/day has been way too overly interpreted. Actually it only showed 1000 orders for one particular day, not every single day. Actually, for the first one or two days with huge price drop and new car demo in China, I would feel very disappointed if they couldn't make 1k.

Thanks. I deleted my original question post because I misunderstood the materials I quoted. So the median date to announce Q4 ER date is 1/29, and the median date to report earning is 2/15, based on the information in this thread. Hopefully I am not misunderstanding anything this time :)

My estimate is not that good overall. Multiple sources indicate the production is 5-6k/week (maybe lower 5xxx) in Dec so far, and the Canadian delivery in Oct and Nov was almost for sure less than 3k. One good thing is that there seems to be no day off for holidays, even for Christmas day...

In China, 24*7 production is a common practice (mainly 3 shifts for 8 hours each) . What makes you find it unimaginable in US?
