Per another NJ owner that just sent us this pic (again, can't take credit for this myself), looks like we've just got our first US 135kW supercharger (at least that I know of) . It's not live yet though (thanks for Chris Christie delaying the main power feed hookup) Hamilton Supercharger in NJ:

Now the real question is that can those of us with the 'B' packs use it ??? (lol)

"Ventilation not required". That's interesting. All the SCs I've seen thus far most definitely have vents and fans.

So this is the new version of the SuperChargers?

Somewhere else it was mentioned that in 3 ~ 4 weeks we should see new SuperChargers in Germany. Wondering if those are 135kW as well. Elon said they would be, so I assume.

    However: (400V * 192A) * sqr(3) = 132kW

So in Europe we still won't get 135kW SuperCharging?

It means ventilation isn't required for indoor installations - ie. no toxic fumes.

I can't wait for the Tweet from Elon "NJ owners receive the fastest SC in the world"

Maybe this "gen 2"/135kW is the reason that was keeping Tesla from opening more superchargers in Europe the past months: they were waiting for a new hardware version to be produced. Let's hope there a lot of these in crates on a ship right now ;)

People passing through NJ receive fastest SC in the world.

Alternative; fastest SC in the world delayed due to NJ governmental interference.

Awesome, let's hope this will allow for continued rapid deployment of these. They change the entire feeling of road tripping. I think the B packs are good to go for 135kW from what I've read prior. But if not, lookout....

Who has a reader that can decipher that modern-day bar code shown in Yobigd's photograph? Any cool embedded information?

    Cool!

In Italy we still don't have any SCs but during this year they should be installed also in Italy. Only 135 KW SCs in Italy please.

Hopefully someone can post a video of charging from near zero to 100% with a pack that maxes it out.

Surprised AaronS hasn't posted yet ;)

The US has been very slow the last couple of months also, so yes this could be the reason and we may see the number of installations start to increase again.

For reference(and this is done on memory) in the US at the end of 2012: 6 SC stations
Add another 44 in 2013(most in the last month or so): Total: 50
    23 more in January 2014 Total: 73
    Only 5 in February 2014 Total: 78
    Today (23 March 2014) 3 Total: 81

Here is the new Las Vegas Supercharger just recently installed - Doesn't seem as 'SUPER' as i would think a new install would be...

So if I read the labels. The gen 1 uses 200-400V input, but gen 2 requires at least 380V.

That means that gen 2 is true 3-phase!

Now all we need is a welding wand adaptor and a foot pedal that speaks Tesla SuperCharger and we will have on site welding repairs and supercharging. Man that is a lot of current.

    Comparing 120KW and 135KW:

    Output current 120KW: 210A
    Output current 135KW: 335A

So would that mean if 2 cars hook up, they would charge substantially faster than the older ones? Maybe even no 2 car penalty at all?

Maybe it's Elon's way of saying "GET THE HELL OUT OF NEW JERSEY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!"

lol, as a resident of NJ, I'd vouch for that statement. I can't wait to move out of this state I HATE IT!!!! (and it even smells here too)
