Number 1: Elon Musk on Twitter

Is it our conclusion that these are quotes from May this year and not just taken out of context from prior years?

I'm trying to respond to a recent Bloomber article which continues to use those quotes. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't find any proof the quote about share price was from this year.

The Guardian quote seems to be from this interview in 2013. Elon Musk on Tesla's stock price

Musk does like to repeat certain phrases, but this seems far too soon after inferring he believed the stock price could run up. It's a shame he or Tesla won't set the record straight one way or the other.

Edit: You can probably keep the credit.

Plug-In Electric Drive Vehicle Credit (IRC 30D)

The vehicles must be acquired for use or lease and not for resale. Additionally, the original use of the vehicle must commence with the taxpayer and the vehicle must be used predominantly in the United States. For purposes of the 30D credit, a vehicle is not considered acquired prior to the time when title to the vehicle passes to the taxpayer under state law.

So I can sell my order to the highest bidder on ebay before registration and new buyer gets full $7500 credit?
Since it depends on "use", yes, if you transfer ownership prior to registration and delivery, the new buyer should be able to get the credit. Though you might get fined for operating a car dealership without a license!
