This is a persistent urban legend. The system fully reboots automatically at the end of every software update.

Yes it reboots after update but still has many issues until re-reboot in my (and many others) experience.
new FSD visualisations in this version are US only, even CAN doesn't have them in this version.
Mine’s the opposite - working fine yesterday morning, deaf as a post today.
More servers please, Tesla!
Voice: Works maybe 1 in 10 times so far. Most times it's just flashing green and nothing happens. Setting temp in C doesn't seem to work when it does listen.

I agree with people above I am also in this situation where even the basic voice commands no longer work properly. Setting the temp just turns it on when it is already on and will not change the temp.
It's the new tesla style...neither the service centre nor the car will now respond. You'll have to buy a new one.
Initially I had the same issue after updating. Nothing, no response to any voice command even ones that worked before.
Then I tried a soft restart and then it worked, not faultlessly but about 80% of the time.
It might have something to do with coverage as it was patchy. However the start of the journey it was good and still nothing worked.

Open the glovebox works sometimes.
Set wipers to 1 also did sometimes
Also tried "Open the pod bay doors HAL" this didn't for me and seems more unfriendly to people called Dave!!

There is also no sign of the message option on the call app...was there no text reading option in the UK??
did you RTFM on how to enable it, in the release notes

I find it confuses on and off, when it understands what you say

It's a complete train wreck. Almost never listens at all, and when it does it gets it wrong. Can't do temperature in celcius, confuses on and off, ... Can't understand why Tesla released it at all!!
