85D 0-60 faster than expected

I've been thinking nonstop about how I should've gotten the P90D instead of 85D to feel the acceleration and power, but it seems like they're more similar than I once though.
85D 0-60 has been seen to be sometimes as low as 3.85, average around 4.0. This is without rollout
P90D is 3.1 with rollout, which means really around 3.3
Seeing this, I feel better knowing that 20K+ would only get me a car half a second faster. Delivery should come soon (hopefully)

Any 85D owners thoughts on acceleration?

I love my car and definitely don't find the acceleration lacking. I had a P85D loaner a few months ago and it's a whole other level of fast.

Worth 20k more? That depends on how many extra 20ks you have sitting around i guess.

So you know there's a thread dedicated on comparing how Tesla originally marketed the p85d in which there is some discussion of the relative performance characteristics. There is also a thread on how some brave owners are gather high-resolution performance data from some of the cars via. the CAN bus over here: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/61570-Chassis-CAN-Logging-To-ASCII-Text-Plus-Graphing

Also, you might want to look into upgrading that 85 to 90KW battery if it's only $3K: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/show...terisk-(up-to-81-kWh-with-up-to-77-kWh-usable). No digest post, though high likelihood that 85KW battery is actually 77KW useable (after 4KW reserved). Get the 90KW battery if you can for that bargainous price difference.

I should note that the quoted 0-60 when i ordered my 85D was 5.2 or so? And got 'upgraded' to low 4s before i took delivery. So i definitely got more than i expected.

Check out that video of the guy who dragged his 85D 27 times at the track. His fastest 0-60 was 3.85 with something like a 7.8 1/8th mile.

Thanks, I'm very excited . Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow me to change any options. They told me it was being built already over a week ago, which seems fishy to me since it takes only a few days to build.
If I had the chance I'd definitely upgrade to the 90d. Honestly don't know if I'd go performance.
