Acceleration boost change?

Just happened to notice this on my 2018 M3. Could this mean we will be seeing our performance increase to 4.2 non boost and 3.7 boosted? Or just an error and only for newer 21 model?

They are most likely just updating the description to more accurately reflect what they have always delivered. The advertised numbers for AWD (both with and without boost) have always been slower than most people report seeing in real life.

Could be, just saw it and thought for sure it was 4.4 to 3.9. Also noticed on the website the LR AWD also lists 4.2.

Probably a question of rollout or no rollout, though I don’t pay much attention to AWD specs. This discrepancy & use of one vs. the other (Tesla is not consistent) causes no end of confusion though.

I doubt it is an increase in performance. I purchased the boost right when I picked up the car in September 2020 at which time it was 4.4s down to 3.9s. Now when I look on my car it says 3.7s.

I've read on Reddit and Twitter that there wasn't an increase in performance, but that they are now using the numbers associated with a 1 ft rollout.

I guess, however I don't have the performance boost and was just pointing out something that I noticed that had changed and I hadn't heard of any changes related to it so I asked in the forums.

You joke on it, Elon might actually make it happen on the Model S at some point since it's already a bit over 400 miles of range.

Maybe I was referring to the base long range plus model, since that's a little bit over 400 miles.
