the issue of what appeared to be scam sms's from tesla has been solved. They miskeyed someone elses contacts and it was very close to my wife's number so she was getting their details. Her phone number isnt attached to my order at all, and this other account is on the same sort of timelines as our order

They fat fingered a customer's phone number! And here I was imagining that this entire order process was completely automated.....
