I'm curious if it's going to be a good or a bad thing that they are stopping MSM and Obsidian Black in terms of those of us that already have them ordered. Think they'll do one last batch of each to get them done and delivered or trickle them out?

Edit: I read that wrong. It's Silver Metallic not MSM.

Guess banks are different but I went to mine and said I need a loan for $75k. I sent her my last 2 paychecks and she came back an hour later and told me approved. No VIN required and it was using my house, not the car, as security

Are you using a home equity line of credit? How much are your monthly payments? Even a rough calculation (60 months at 3%) suggests its over $1300/mo. Hope you have a safe income flow to support a mortgage sized car loan payment.

It stands as a stark example of testosterone making decisions not good judgement to others wanting a tesla so bad they can taste it.

Right, and that's his problem and the banks problem, not our problem, and not a problem in this thread. Do you really think that beating up on the guy about a decision you believe to be foolish is going to get him to change his mind or swerve other people away from making similar decisions?

If so then you've got a very different experience interacting with people on the Internet than I do.

Just received a new form email from Brodie stating that our Model 3 will be available from Wed. Sep. 26 through Sun. Sep. 30. I responded within 20 minutes. Hopefully this time we'll get a delivery appointment!
We're still waiting for a delivery date. I received an email last Thursday, Sep. 6 from DSA (delivery scheduling advisor) Brodie, indicating that our Model 3 would be in between 9/24 and 10/1. I replied within an hour or so, and followed up with another email, but still haven't heard back from Brodie at all. I spoke with someone in New Vehicle Deliveries at our Service Center, and he told he to get back to him if I don't hear from Brodie by this Wednesday.

Yea it’s just a line of credit secured by my home. There is a min payment but I don’t know it since I just dump what’s remaining of my paycheck after paying all the bills into paying the line down

Well it’s just a line of credit with an extremely low interest rate due to it being secured. It also works better for me because I’m not tied to a fixed 6 or 8 year loan. I can pay as much as I want down per month.

Based on my income I plan to pay down approx $5000 a month and have it paid off next year

Has anyone gotten an email or notification since the mass emailing last Thursday?
I received two emails after the first one. The second email confirmed my chosen delivery date and time, and the third reiterated the date/time and gave additional information about what to bring and how to handle payment, and also says I will be contacted closer to the delivery date by someone who can answer any questions I have. Nothing since then, but I don’t expect it for at least another week since my delivery date is still more than two weeks out.

I finally got a response yesterday. I now have a delivery date of Sept 23rd, 11:30AM at Fremont. And with that, my relationship with my "scheduling specialist" is over. Now I guess I wait for a delivery specialist and a VIN. And... with any luck, answers to the questions I've had for several months.

Nice... I wonder what the likelihood of them shipping 1 identical unit 770 Miles east to SLC for me.

I think I’m finally getting somewhere with shoring up delivery. Apparently my DSA has been out of office the last few days and although she has an MBA, has apparently not learned how to turn out of office on during absences. Luckily, talked to a great CS rep at headquarters (after fairly short waiting time). We verified with deliveries that I do not have delivery date scheduled, so CS going to call my DSA’s boss to firm up delivery. Everyone has been very nice on phone, but it goes both ways. I always kill them with kindness. Update. New DSA is Dylan. Immediately verified wrong delivery date (day after preferred date I’ve stated in every email). Went back to my CS person, Jenny, who is wonderful. She looked at email trail and admitted that everyone there is a little overworked, that it must have been an oversight on Dylan’s part and she would contact him directly and explain my wishes. Now I guess I just have to scramble to pay off current car so I can bring title to closing. Getting closer......
