Just back from my whirlwind unscheduled pick up and $130 Uber to Tesla Fremont with a 4 year old in tow. Super easy pick up had the AC blasting 30 mins before pick up to really test it. Was +100F in the parking lot and it was chilly in the car.

Car was literally just built it still had protective covers on the sunshade mirrors, the screen had a hug plastic tab on it. No gaps and everything is looking good to my eye. Would say its on par with my 2020 Model 3 for fit and finish.

Things of note the frunk seems extra fragile(bendy) compared to the M3, I won't be using it that much. It's really the fat brother of the M3. Drove 100 miles back home then jumped into the M3 to run errand(was down to 10% in the Y) and you really notice the handling difference. The space inside is well worth it and the hatch love the hatch.

Only real complaint and I set up a home visit was a slash on the steering wheel.

Looks good!

I see you also have room to park the CT.

Who paid for Uber?

Sharing my experience this past Saturday. I got forced home delivery as well. Wasn’t exactly a great experience. The car pretty much showed up at my drive way without any notice. Couldn’t find a human been on the phone or online the entire time. The delivery driver quietly left so you can’t inspect or refuse the delivery. He didn’t wear gloves or mask when he drove my car (saw it on my nest cam). My car smelled like his cologne for a day and it got on me after touching the car. He left the key locked in the car, and the car didn’t show up in the app even after accepting delivery. I had to call road side service to unlock the car. Luckily only minor issues like trunk hatch misalignment and small yellow marker ink on my driver’s seat. Otherwise I would’ve been really angry. Felt like a magical day ruined by Tesla’s poor execution. Sad to say, but going to dealer would’ve been a better experience. All my excitement waiting for this car the past few months were pretty much gone that day. I was exhausted from dealing with Tesla and inspecting the car. I didn't bother driving it after confirmed that the car is ok.

This is such a huge miss by Tesla. Neglecting the last mile for customers isn't going to build loyalty to Tesla as a brand. This is where I've constantly seen Tesla fail. Hopefully Elon is aware and willing to invest in building out the full customer experience to ensure he's not only delivering on the vehicles he's promised to customers, but also delighting them in the process.

I wish I agreed. If Elon cared about this or wanted it fixed it would have been. He wants Tesla to post big delivery numbers and the company is doing what it has to in order to make that come true. Tesla has been getting less customer-friendly as time goes on, not more. Having watched this for the past seven years, I think the only way Tesla addresses some of these things is when another automaker catches up and starts eating their lunch.

Hi Everyone, new member here.
My business partner and I have been looking for ways to make our firm more eco friendly, so among other steps, we've decided to make our next company vehicles all electric.

My business partner placed and order for his MY MSM paint, LR AWD, no FSD, No Two on 7/14. He was offered a vehicle two days later! He declined it (as he wasn't ready to take delivery) and ended up getting his order filled by mid August (less than a month including one decline). He picked the car up from Fremont, and had no issues to speak of.

I just placed an order for the MY DBM paint, LR AWD, w/ Induction wheels, no FSD, no Tow package on 9/18. All paperwork complete, just awaiting a VIN at this point. I've set my preference to pick the car up in Costa Mesa (didn't even get Irvine as an option, that would be closer?). Website now shows 5-9 weeks to delivery (from order date), initially it showed 6-10 weeks. Here's hoping things go smoothly.

Just picked up our MY today in Irvine. Was originally scheduled for tomorrow at 8 PM but was able to push it forward to today. Experience was fairly straight forward, though there seemed to be an endless stream of people with pickup appointments as well. Contactless experience was pretty about 90% contactless, though again, with the crowd it was difficult to maintain distance.

Fit and finish was pretty good. Really only a couple of times that we noticed (so far). Trim on the roof of the trunk was a little off and the rear seats are a tad misaligned. There’s also a tag sticking out on the passenger side that I’m not going to pull. Paint looks good, though it was later in the day so I’ll have to check it again in the full sunlight. Few hand marks on the ceiling liner but they came off easily. No gap issues.

Overall, pleasant experience. Everybody was nice and attentive, even though it was a bit like herding cattle.

VIN 56xxx

Pickin my MY 19" with tow Sunday. They txt and said its ready early and get 1k miles. Spent a hour looking at it, in and out. To me, pass all my test. Door and taillight was just very slightly off and it didn't bother me, most ppl won’t be able to tell. If I ask them to look at it, I don't want them to make it worst. Paint was good and match. inside was clean! Frunk and tailgate align. No service call needed so im happy! Drive is amazing!!! worth the wait guys. VIN 57xxx. UL pics soon...
