Are you referring to the slaves used in their factories, or that Porsche was lied to. Germans bought coupons to get their Volkswagens, and when the book was filled they received their People's Car. Nobody received their cars, their money went into the war effort.

However, it must be remembered that Germany at the time was socialist, and the government was vested heavily into social programs. They did not approve of unpopular free speech or freedom of association. They had strong gun control laws, and a high minimum wage and free healthcare.

It appears that the DNC currently is very much in favor of the German method of government of the pre-1945 era. It has even been publicly proposed by activist that a military coup should remove the government.

Politically, we are not that different today than the early-mid 30's in Germany. Who will be the Boss though? I 'd pick Soros.

The hidden figures analogy falls apart at this power level. It is one thing when you are deep in the trenches working on a project. Then your brains can shine, and racists and sexist people eventually give in to the very smart. But this does not happen at the executive level.

We just have to protest and complain as much as we possibly can.

I also think because Elon grew up in racist South Africa with a horrible father, he can tolerate being in the room with Trump.

I disagree that it can happen at an executive level. Ultimately Elon is not at an executive level with Trump. He is only on an advisory committee. He is only there because he is successful at a number of talking points that Trump wants to showcase such as jobs, manufacturing, and "Making America Great." It is all part of the theater of the moment. If you think Elon has any sway at all over Trump and his people I would say that you are very likely wrong. I am not there so I cannot say for certain but I would be shocked if he did.

Here is a clarification I made on my original comment (also repetitive):
Sacrifice is important but it will only work at the right moment where change is prepared to happen. *Spoiler* In the movie it was when Taraji P. Henson/Katherine Johnson came in soaking wet and called out the manager after he knew how valuable she was. He was oblivious to the racism happening around him and at that moment was prepared to finally take notice of it. If Elon threw a fuss now and pointed out the new administrations errors and flaws he would just be thrown out and made an enemy. Sometime in the future it may be different. But right now it would be a futile gesture at best.

Trump is an egomaniac. Sometime in the future and at the exact right moment Elon might be able to point out that Trump could be a hero in the publics eye if he shows he is aware of global warming and that it can be done without damaging jobs and manufacturing.

That is still a stretch but it is more than wasteful futile gesture. There may come a time when Elon can openly protest and possibly create a positive change in the direction of the new administration but, IMO, that time is not now.

The truth ...

Here are the 17 executives who met with Trump for his first business advisory council

Bowling Green, when terrorists tried to buy guns on American soil to bring back to Al Qaeda in Iraq?
Yes. And also the Bowling Green that Kellyanne used as an example of domestic massacres that haven't been reported. Except it was reported. Accurately. Just not by her. It was not covered up. If you need me to post links to the news stories that covered it at the time, happy to do so.

I'll give her props though. She owned her mistake instead of trying to bury it in noise. -ahem-

Here was what she said this morning:
“I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” she said. “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

And then owned her error, when she learned it was not a massacre. Again, props to her for owning her error.

What is 'it'? Do you mean referring to Bowling Green is racist? Or that it happened is racist? Honestly, I'm having a heck of a time following you.
I get the feeling you're trying to have a discussion with someone who speaks in snippets of one to two sentences. Nobody can form a true cohesive argument in that short of a post, so it's probably not worth engaging.

(See how dismissiveness in two sentences is so easy?)
