Epidemic of Model 3 small window break-ins

    how much would be the approximate price for the labor and mirror replacement ?
    my insurance deductible is $1000

    Before going through your insurance, I'd get a quote from the service center on replacing the glass. If it's only a few hundred just pay out of pocket... why make your rates go up over a small claim?

    Ugh, that sucks! Nothing you can do to avoid bad people. Hope you can get it resolved quickly.

    i approached tesla authorized body shop. they said they can rpelace the glass for $469 + Tax. looks like reasonable price. i asked them to change it. i will tell my experience after they have replaced the glass

    tape a razor blade onto the seat release handle... then you'll get some DNA next time.

    This has reached epidemic proportions in SF and some other areas. I now always fold my seats down when I park out in the open so they can see that there's nothing in the trunk.

    you're looking at ~$200 for the glass piece, $100-200 labor, and whatever that chrome piece cost.

    i got it fixed. Authorized body shop was very friendly and fixed it in 40 minutes. they have replaced the mirror

    buddy this is the first time happened to me in my 15 years of driving. how would i know how did this happen. after seeing messages from other users i confirmed its a break in
    since its very expensive car, i panicked initially after seeing the glass

    You should see if they have surveillance footage of the parking lot. Did you report to police or the theater? They usually like to know these things so they can increase security etc.

    Alarm is triggered on opening doors, trunk, frunk. No glass break sensor.
