I’m almost certain the rear Model 3 camera is used for Autopilot, just as it is in the S and X. See the Autopilot page.
All the cameras except backup camera have a matching NN now (used or unused).
In 17.50.2 (the last firmware I had on my car) it appeared that only main_narrow NN was active. I have no way of knowing about what current firmwares do (but it's a safe bet the rain sensing NN is now active since 17.50.3). The NNs themselves did not change for quite a while now (like since November) which is probably a sign they are happy with their performance so far.

Currently NNs are used 100% for vision only, all the driving logic is implemented in regular code. That's very interesting. So, obviously, this is all crazy speculation, but do you have the impression that the share NN is basically a common feature extraction layer, and they will drive the EAP (and eventually FSD) logic through other NNs and/or custom logic?

But actually looking at it again it appears that no, the view does not quite converge, not on my car anyway.
the other one is right before that one you are talking about. it has a dividing wall and you can see some traffic on the other side of it.Thank you! Which two are the rearward cameras? Obviously, the one with all the vehicles behind you... But the other one?
You can put braking information into the signal.Platooning might work better with an active device there.
I will now probably get FSD with my 3. The rear radar makes it much more achievable IMO.
Don't be naive, this rear radar doesnt help with forward cross traffic which is a bigger problem and tesla is litterally in last place in terms of sdc software despite all of this hysterical.
I don't think they are in last place.

Glad I studied those snapshots from the video.
