This is a cross-post but just in case:
Illinois folks who’ve picked up their car (or had it delivered)… Question for ya:
Does Tesla handle all the registration and license plate paperwork? Does the DMV mail you the plates and registration? How long does this take to get to you typically, if so?
I’m probably over-complicating things in my head but am I just… waiting for all that stuff? Feels weird to not have to jump through 11 hoops. TIA!

Got my plates and registration with sticker through 2022 about a month after getting my model Y. Tesla is supposed to handle everything.

Just checked today (10/11/21) and the estimate is now 10/30 to 11/27. This moves it up by three weeks. I wonder why? Orders being cancelled? Austin on-line?

Checked again today (11/1/21). EDD is not 11/28 to 12/26. Good thing I didn't get my hopes too high.

I ordered a MYLR MSM 5 seater and I’m showing 11/15-12/13. Profile was complete 7/28 so hopefully it comes sooner than later.

I have the same configuration as you and will be picking it up from the same location. My OD was 7/28. You should be getting a VIN sometime this next week!

My order is 2+ months after you. But I’m still 8 months away from delivery. I expect that to change.

Congrats, got all your USB ports too? Heard that was an issue on a lot of cars.

Still no VIN, but EDD shrank from 13 days (for the past 5 days) to 3 days. I'll take it as a good sign!

Can anyone share if you have to complete the credit check before they accept the order for a VIN? I don't want to apply until I know when the delivery is and find the best rate
