I too am interested in a LR RWD
Emailed the sales advisor I was working with / had met with about availability to order off menu today in US (Northeast) and will let you know what response I get. I imagine he will also check any floating stock of premade ones as I am not dead set on color?

Honestly there are literally no made ones apparently and only used. My sales advisor has been checking for me for almost 2 weeks (start of july) and the two that were found (1 didnt turn on, 2nd had a used title). I felt no hope so I ordered a SR+ then I just messaged the lead sales advisor and now I have a reservation for the LR RWD.

Glad to hear it all worked out in the end!

Norwegian here, ordered orginaly a sr+ but tesla said theyre not releasing it here until end of q3 but a suprise LR RWD poped up in inventory so i chose that since im tired of waiting, ordered the sr+ right when it opened for it here in the begining of april.
Got the LR Rwd for 52000 dollars, Blue with the black interior and the 19 inch wheels, pickup is in two weeks, problaly gonna be one of the last lr rwd here in Norway unless they decide to build it again.

As far as I can tell Tesla is still taking orders in the US for LR RWD models but corporate has not given any indication of when they will build the next batch of them. A knowledgeable sales rep should still be able to place the order for you but with the understanding that there is no definitive lead time for them. I think they will likely wait until they have a bunch of orders and then produce a batch of them. The last time they did this they sold out of remaining inventory within one day so there is clearly still demand for them.

If you still want one find an advisor who will take your order and then be patient.

How much did they charge for LR RWD? IS AP included or does it still come with no AP like originally offered?

FWIW - there’s been a handful of LR RWD in Canada, I even test drove one and spent some time looking at another that was configured with exactly what I would want (colour, wheels). They show up in their internal systems as new cars with the new pricing setup (Autopilot included and FSD an option).

Man the confusion... So I got a email couple hours ago from the "Lead Tesla Adviser" and he was able to change my SR+ (due for delivery next Monday) to a LR RWD. The two people I spoke to were "owner adviser" and a "sales adviser" said they were 100% not make RWD anymore, but somehow my rerservation got changed. I don't know if this unicorn RWD will be delivered to me, but my reservation is now changed to it. If you want his information DM me.

well he was not of much help for me. Added my OA and Delivery specialist and said he couldn't see any update on his end. So not really sure who at Tesla has access to look and see where my reservation is in the queue. Really starting to feel like i am getting the run around on this whole process.

Do you remember how much for the LR RWD?
Where did you test drive it?

I think one of the sales reps said expect 6 weeks. But I think that has entirely to do with how many orders they wait for before committing to a LR RWD run. If you come in near the end, you might wait substantially less. Meanwhile there's some great deals on the Used page. Enough to counterbalance the tax credits- and you get the discount immediately.

What deals for the US do you see?
I could not find a way to pull up all cars nationally and/or know where they are currently located.
Looking in MA there are zero used or new 3's listed on Tesla's website.
If you cannot pickup where the car is, I believe they charge $2K to deliver to another service center which likely wipes away any great deal you just got.

They pop up and disappear pretty quickly, so you need to actively keep looking. I usually check in the morning and evening. But I won't be able to purchase a car for at least another month, so I'm just watching these opportunities fly by.

It's not there now, but yesterday there was a blue LR RWD 19" rims for US$46K WITH FSD. And the milage wasn't that high.

I’m curious if they still charge the $1200 destination and delivery fee on used cars. If that’s not charged, then the $2k to relocate the car is actually only $800 more then you would HAVE to pay when buying it new...

I miss out on a $2500 state credit though so combined the fed and state equal a $4375 discount, so that probably washes away any “deal” for me by buying used... other then getting it sooner. They don’t seem to have many (any?) with white interior (maybe that wasn’t offered in 2018?) and most all of them are the standard black exterior :(

Depending on mileage I probably would have bought that one and then tried to get Tesla to give me 18” wheels or swap with someone else that was taking delivery around the same time. I hate the extra cost of 19” tires and the lower options for specific tires, especially winter ones...

On the LR RWD I'm fine with taking the 19". Here in Northern CA, the only time I see adverse weather is when we drive to ski in Tahoe, and we'll be using our Tiguan for that for obvious reasons.

And 95% of driving for this car will be local. Honestly the only reason I'm not going SR+ is the technical headroom of having the V3 250kW charging in the LR battery. I may attempt a trip from California to Ontario next Summer, but I'm not going to go with the 18" rims just for that extreme edge case. For everything else I might reasonably do (SF to LA or up the coast), the range loss with the 19" rims isn't enough for me to get bothered about. On an SR+ I definitely would have gone with 18"s though...
