Are you me....?

Anyways, I emailed my rep on June 4th asking for an update, just got a reply saying they didn't get any detailed updates on LR RWD production.
"The focus has definitely been on producing as many Std+ RWD and LR AWD models as possible."
Then they asked if I would consider SR+ or AWD if no LR RWD was available by the 30th. :( Makes me sad. I can't afford an AWD with FSD and SR+ feels like I'm leaving too much on the table to settle. I'm in it for the long haul until I get my LR RWD or they officially reply that it's no longer in production.
Lol with that thought process I am you. I just have to keep telling myself: 85+ miles, premium audio, 85+ miles, ... gotta keep holding on

So I am a bit nervous.

Just got my delivery date (June 9th) VIN 326077. Ordered on May 24th. It looks like this batch was made in March. Why would a car linger for so long? I am picking up in Fremont and it already has 50 miles (according to the TA).

Blue, Aero, AP, Black interior.

Well, although I have to pick it up on Sunday, I will do a very thorough walk through.

50 miles on the paperwork is Tesla code for not more than 50 miles. It will likely have much, much less, possibly single digits. Mine says 50 miles, but when my DA checked the actual car online, it only had 8 miles on it.

Maybe I am too much of an optimist but first off, they are just as incentivized to deliver it as I am to get it, probably more so. And I would also think that there should be some angles available if they don’t have a car ordered in May by June 30. Even a minor offer on financing can make up $1875 over a loan period, for example

This is a good question though. This is probably like the 3rd LR AWD matched within this last week (and according to the spreadsheet, second one today) with the "older" (not that old) VINs. I wondering why they are all showing up now and didn't appear when advisors searched inventory? (Mine said that he was able to search for factory new cars as well)

My advisor gave me another call today after telling me yesterday they are not going to fulfill anymore LR RWD orders. She told me now they are thinking about producing them. She said they might cut it off at whoever ordered before June 1st but it still isn's set in stone.

She also said that if they do end up doing another run that she doesn't know when it would be and it might not be until after July 1st.

So it seems like there is hope but I wish Tesla employees had better communication within the company and could give us a definitive answer on if they are going to make them or not.

I ended up changing my order to a LR AWD though just to make sure I get it before July 1st. If I didn't take delivery of the LR RWD before July 1st, the difference in price would have been pretty small. Also the awd will come in handy since we have a cabin in Lake Tahoe. Hopefully I made the right decision!

I ordered on 5/17 in Los Angeles. Model 3 LR RWD White Exterior and Black Interior with Aero Wheel. I was assigned VIN on 5/28 and Will have it delivered next Wed.
I checked with chat that the car was built the end of Mar. with HW2.5 (unfortunately). I wanted to wait a newer car with HW3.0 but I asked chat that the representative said at this moment they are not taking any LR RWD order only can get from Inventory.
I was worried that I wouldn't get it by the end of June so I decided to accept this car.

[Update]
I got message that my car would be delivered earlier than my schedule time, which is 6/2 then I changed it back to 6/5. I got another message the day before my delivery day said the car is still in transition so they needed to postpone the delivery time. I called the store in Marina De Ray and the guy tole me the car is from Canada and won't be here til 6/18, which is very annoying.

Ordered 5/18, updated order to LR RWD on 5/21.

Delivery was scheduled for 6/2, at that time I was told the car was made and getting ready for shopping (this was around 5/25). New delivery date per my request was 5/10.

Called yesterday asking when / if the car was there already. They said the car was made but the VIN / vehicle is now in Washington State (I’m on the east coast). Delivery specialist didn’t know why it was there, the VIN is still assigned to me (I asked if they had re-assigned it). She was supposed to call back later that day, but surprise...she didn’t. And now they have no idea when it’ll get here since according to her there are no transportation requests for the vehicle / plans in place.

Was really hoping for a smooth delivery process, guess not.

My contact at my local Tesla store has confirmed twice that I'll get my M3 RWD/Blue/Aero before end of quarter. My delivery specialist seemed a bit more cautious and still believes switching to SR+ or AWD would get me a car faster. I still want RWD though and I'd rather not spend $4k more on AWD.

I made the config on 5/22 and I see a of people via the spreadsheet around that date getting their VINs and delivery dates (primarily on the west coast). I'm in Raleigh, NC. Gotta be soon!

I woke up early this morning thinking about this whole thing. There's currently an AWD that's available on the inventory site, with same exact config that i wanted. first thing i noticed, it's $1K more than a custom built from scratch, for same config. Obviously, Tesla is now playing mind games, increasing prices since you 'don't have to wait', and you can get the car in days. i sat down and did more calculations, trying to figure out what i can cut down on my monthly budget to accommodate this AWD. Even coming to the point that saying, 'at least i'll have the $3750 at the end of the year to pay it back'. If, let's say i can convince Tesla to bring down the current inventory price to the custom build price, my calculations still came out to about $4900 more than what I'll be paying for the RWD (out the door). For a 5 year car loan, that pushes the payment alot higher than my budget.

Bottom line, i'm already making a serious commitment trying to get this RWD (this is probably the most expensive i've ever or will own). Last thing i want to do is over extend myself and compromise to try to get into an AWD, just because i need to make that Fed tax incentive. In the long run, losing $1875 after July 1st is far less than adding an addition $4900 for the car, reflecting on the monthly payments. So there, i'll stick with RWD.

Of course, there's always that fear that Tesla will kill the line altogether, and i have to get the AWD. SR+ isn't an option for me. i'm done with range anxiety with my Nissan Leaf and don't want to experience that with my new EV. I'll take the risk and will hang on. Keep the faith everyone!!! Hopefully in a few weeks, we'll all be sharing pics of our RWD's!!! :)

I think your advisor is smoking pot. If Tesla was really planning to cancel or delay all of their existing LR RWD orders do you think this one advisor would be the only one in the entire company that knows about it? It sounds like he just wants to move your order to something he can get quicker to get his bonus. 90% of the stuff I hear from Tesla employees is just flat out wrong.

I’m in the triangle area also. So far I’ve been completely unimpressed with their sales staff. And now my car is stuck in Washington State with no ETA.

Yup.. definitely not impressed. My sales guy was awesome until after i put that $2500. After that, texted him, emailed him, nothing. that's why i have to call Fremont location instead of the showroom i put my deposit in. Just not professional.

On the order tracking spreadsheet, if you sort by VIN, it looks like about 15% of the cars delivered so far this quarter have been LR RWD, as compared to say, 22% being Performace Model 3s.

Indeed, that means that two thirds are the SR+ and LR AWD's, but we all know that already.

With no notice, regardless of what salespeople say, I see nothing to indicate that Tesla could afford to lose 15% of Model 3 sales in a quarter by retroactivly saying "whoops, we know you ordered one but sorry not making them."

Now, the order tracking spreadsheet may not be large enough to be a fully accurate sample size, but its probably not too far off.

So there is another speculative factoid for this board.
