LR RWD Waiting Room

I ended up calling my local SC for a new delivery adviser and was met with an extremely helpful person who was on top of everything....said that LR RWD orders are made straight from the factory...and I have a reliable line of communication.
I truly hope this is actually the case. Your are very lucky if so, as you are getting HW 3.0 and not 2.5 like the rest of us!

Recall that the person I thought was a reliable Tesla source informed me my car was on the production line and getting painted white as we spoke, then a week later (from yet another reliable Tesla source) I was told that same VIN was actually inventory stock in Canada and on its way down to me . It wasn't till I saw them actually geolocate the VIN in real time, that I knew the second scenario was the truth.

Above second source also reiterated there are absolutely no LR RWD currently being produced (as of last Thursday anyway), and that they are all coming from inventory. Tesla is very poor with regard to communications.

Yes the image changed. That was what tipped me off.

When you say Tesla called who called was it your sales advisor or someone from corporate or someone from delivery?

I emailed my sales advisor and she cant figure out and she said it was some kind of glitch. I'll take the 19 for free.

I'll call and talk to her in person next time to see if this offer is true.

What store are you working with? I'm working with Pasadena store.

It was my sales advisor. I am in Alpharetta, GA so completely different location. I sent an email pretty late last night to her about sticking with the 19" wheels until they can swap it out with the 18" wheels. Have not heard a response yet. Probably going to end up sticking with the 19" wheels if I can get it before the end of the month.

How do you guys have advisers? I've yet to be contacted by anyone since I placed my order on the 27th. Any time I have a question I call and go through the automated system to get to someone. Once I get a VIN, do I get an adviser or specialist at that point?

I end up talking to a different person every time I call and it makes it a little tough to get consistency when one day someone says he can pretty much guarantee I'll have the car by June 30th, and then the VERY NEXT DAY someone different tells me that she's "not very confident" in that goal.

I'm in the same boat... Kinda. I ordered on 5/18, got a text on 5/24 about my order being finalized and will be transported soon. Then I got an e-mail from an internal delivery specialist with info about next steps etc. I actually had a VIN and everything. Then my delivery date changed a couple times (after I chose one). Since then the VIN has disappeared, delivery date is gone (I'm back to the 2 weeks from your order date estimate), and I've been ghosted by everyone...

Edit: I wanted to add that I'm still waiting patiently and I know I'll eventually get the car I ordered. I can't wait!

my order is still the same, nothing was changed,
what I dot like, the customer service is one of the worst ever !!
called costa mesa, CA delivery center hundreds of times !! they never pick up the phone! they called me back only twice, and they of course do not know anything !!
emailed many times sales guy who changed my order from AWD to RWD, he replies after few days and only after I email him multiple times!! seriously! very horrible experience with them! I am even considering cancelling the order, I am tired of the customer service and waiting basically blindfolded

order placed on 05/29 modified on 6/7 ( added FSD)
as of today no VIN, nothing

This sucks as my sales advisor changed it back to aeros. Tesla really needs to do a better job of informing their customers before making changes like this. A quick call or email to confirm any such activity would be courteous.

Update. After seeing the configuration change via change in picture and price to 19" wheels, I emailed my sales advisor at the Pasadena store as she was miffed, changed my order back to 18 aeros. I received a notice of order change and everything looked right. Ppl in this forum started to report being offered 19" for free. I immediately called Tesla number but being 8:15 on, all stores and Tesla delivery center is closed. Fast forward it's 2am and I check my Tesla account, a $1500 dollar discount showed up in my account... To which I believe it to be for 19" wheels, however.... My order is now back to 18" aero.

First off, I'd gladly take $1500 off aeros but I'd too gladly take 19 sports for free if that mean delivery by June 30th...(actually sooner... I have a road trip planned for the 29th).

Here's the updated screenshot
My biggest worry is that those of you who changed your order back to 18 won’t get a car in this batch so maybe not until after June

checked and my order is showing the 1,500.00 discount but still showing sport wheels. still no VIN

When the 19" wheels shows up, there was no discount applied. I would have left it if there was a discount shown. They should have left a courtesy note for the change to me. This is just plain horrible bad customer service.

I contacted the Buena Park delivery center this morning they were of no help and told me to contact the Sales Advisor. I sent my service advisor and manager a email as it's before opening time right now. I hope to call them later in the day.

here's my screen shot. 19" sports added. No discount!

I got matched with a VIN, which I ordered an inventory model on 5/21

The problem I have is, they are trying to sell it to me as new, with 750 miles, and an $800 price adjustment. I don't know if I should just go look at it and figure out it's good as new, or ask for a bigger adjustment.

So far no budging, but I've seen other "demos" with way less miles with way more price adjustment. I am wondering what's up with this car.

My account now shows the $1500 discount has been applied, but with the 18" aero wheels that I called and had switched back yesterday. At this point, even if I don't get the car until the beginning of July, that $1500 discount I am getting NOW is better than the $1875 more I would have potentially received back a year from now in my taxes. I honestly don't think I make enough money to earn the entire $3750 in tax credit anyway, so not only could the $1500 be MORE valuable, but it's money that I can use RIGHT NOW to help me pay for all stuff for my first home that I just bought a month ago. Building a fence isn't cheap! lol

I guess if it comes by June 30th, I'll be stoked. If not, I won't throw a fit since this $1500 discount works out well for me.

So, what's the consensus? Are we still thinking they are making us a fresh batch of LR RWDs this week, get vins at the end of this week and delivery by the end of June?
If Vins and information don't start rolling out by this Sunday or Monday, then I think it won't happen before end of June. For people who have ordered before 6/1. Those in CA and west coast have a better chance since closer to Fremont. But at the end of the day, no one knows and ask 50 Tesla employees or locations and you will get 50 different answers....

when I called the Buena Park delivery center this morning I asked them if my account showed the reason or notes of the mysterious switch to the 19 in sports and they said no. They do have history of the switch to 19s. i asked him if my account showed the switch back to the 18 inch aero and they said yes. I also asked him if the account showed the $1,500 discount applied and they said no.

I think there is a lag in the pricing details showing up in your Tesla account. you might want to call your sales advisor or delivery center to verify if that's $1,500 discount is still real with the 18 inchers

But, ours wouldn't show up in inventory, right? Because they will be assigned directly to us? Thus never making it to inventory...

Yes I think that's right. I contacted my sales advisor earlier this week to see if he had any info on the delivery of my order (he didn't). He did say that there was the same configuration as my order except for white interior in Seattle. I went online a short time later and viewed inventory and it didn't show up.

Ever since they stopped production they didn’t show up in online inventory. When I was first ordering the sales guy was asking me if I want what’s available, but nothing in my configuration. None of it showed online. They probably don’t want people to see them and want to order new
