I had this not so edge case happen to me today. What should it do for a wife load coming from the opposite direction? I passed the escort car and then disengaged FSD as I could see the load was in my lane (2 lane highway). As we were both moving at 60mph in opposite directions I did want to wait to see what it would do.

It has to be able to move over well in advance of the oncoming wide load.
I hope your wife doesn't see this or you will be sleeping on the couch ;)

I got the longest continuous horn yesterday from a truck-man after Nicki entered a lane that was separated by a solid line from where he/she was supposed to go. In order to go straight we'd have to drive left into traffic and over the solid line. Nicki don't do stuff like that, so I just sat there and listened to Mr. F-150 just lean on the horn for over 2 minutes until the light changed.

I had to laugh wondering what a “wife load” was! Gotta love autocorrect!

can definitely see the improvement from 10.3.1
It handles yield signs much better and treats most of the correctly
It executed a really nice "right on red" yesterday, waiting for just the right time etc, the turn was almost natural.

Of course the next turn we took was onto a road with no center marking so of course it lost its mind. The car in front was correctly on the right side of the road but we followed like a d*ck driver down the middle. (I cancelled it after 100ft)
Four way stops are still an uncomfortably long wait even with no other cars visible.
I'm thinking of get a student driver placard for the back of the car.

FSD is always 5 years away.
Fusion full scale energy is and has been less than 30 years away since 1950.

Also another AI thing that kinda scars me is when Siri came out 10 years ago it was conjectured that we would all be carrying on complete conversations with our phones in just a couple of years. Even now 10 years later I can say "Hey Siri turn off the kitchen lights" and it may respond "Playing Lights by BTS". Also Alexa and Google are just as "NOT" great.

Went and checked Reddit for 10.4 feedback. Surprising number of negative comments.

this is the first time I've felt this since I got into early access, but I want to skip testing this version because of how poorly it's doing on my very routine drives. It's unable to make some right turns. It turns on the signal at places where no turn or lane change is needed. It goes into the turning lane when the route is going straight. I've reported it all, and at this point, I'm kind of sick of having to deal with really mundane errors, especially when these things were non-issues in the two versions before.

I understand that there will be regressions as other aspects are improved. Just noting that I hit some testing fatigue finally and I'm happy that early access is expanding so others can help take on the testing load.

While not “full scale” at this point I think we’re about 2.5-5 years away from Fusion energy capability and it’s future influencing the trajectory of the global energy complex looking out over the next 25 years+. every 4-6 months stable plasma has been going up by 100-200% each new test. Time will tell, but it will be interesting to watch how it plays out over the next 3-5 years - and it will play out.

Kinda posted this yesterday but seems more confirmed rot day. Looks like (at least in urban/city) that in the early morning there is very little phantom braking. however after the sun comes up it is like turning on a switch to add TONS of phantom braking. At least that is my anecdotal experience so far with 10.4.
I am noticing the same thing, I am pretty sure it's shadows in daylight, and last night it seems anything near the road like a garbage can or car on a street you are passing and they are about to turn onto the road. Maybe daylight driving is affected by the night time stuff?

There's a train line down the middle of I-90 in Chicago. There are train traffic control lights by the track and visible from the interstate. I had to disable stop sign / traffic control response in AP because it kept stopping on the interstate for the train control signals. Well, it turns out that FSD treats it the same as AP. I was hoping that FSD's labelling techniques would solve this problem and the speed limit sign problem I posted about yesterday. Now I guess I have to turn off FSD and just use plain AP if I'm taking the highway. 🤷‍♂️
