OK. Today was my big day...

Went to pick up my car at 10 am. UR/Black. 4/23. Went to Verona, NY at the casino to pick up my car. Now a few days ago, someone posted on Reddit and reposted here about their pickup at Verona and their car had bad paint, pollen on it, etc, etc. I was nervous after that posting because my car potentially was made at the same time as the other one and was probably delivered at the same time. Technically my car was there since the 10th.

Got there, saw one UR/Black M3P and one Blue/Black M3P. The red one has to be mine, I looked at the VIN, yep it's mine. I then started my inspection.....

Wow, I could NOT believe how perfect the car came out. No paint issues at all (thought there was but turned out it was goo from their tapes etc), No gap issues (all the gaps was the same on each side, even the hood!), the doors was flushed with the body, the inside light strip was perfectly aligned between the door and the front strip, they didn't mount the front license for me cause they thought that I wouldn't want it on my perfect car. I was actually surprised. Really. I expected the worst. The two guys I talked to were so cool. One of them said wow you know your stuff, after doing all the app stuff in front of him. The funny thing is that I told them that they didn't have to do any polishing or anything to the car so i can pick it up ASAP. They said sure.

As you can see the blue car was way dirtier. I guess I was lucky. I had good luck with my 2020 also. But even that had gap issues that i fixed myself mainly the hood and the doors were not flush with the body on one side.

Here are some of the pictures.

Hmm can't get pictures to work on my posting...
Great to hear the good news about your delivery.

After 5+ hrs of driving to pick up bank check and the car she is home.

If it opens up that's fine. You have 90-days status post sale to apply for the rebate. If it does open up Q3 on July 1st, you can still apply for it. If you picked up today you'd have until September 18th to file the paperwork with the state.

The one thing I did notice was non-low income residence had a 32% of receiving the 4K, but it's still worth a shot. Thanks for the update on the rebate. There is also a Comed rebate for an EV charger if you use them as for electricity.
How did you come up with 32%? I came up with 47% of non-low income applications being approved. I believe that being earlier in the rebate window will result in even higher odds of approval due to the general availability of funds amongst other factors.

Don’t have Comed, but my city has a $500 + permit cost rebate for charger installation. I took advantage of it back in 2021.

Weighing, measuring, testing, and changing things starting next week! Didn't get a chance to drive it too much today - mostly stuck in traffic. if you're curious about anything on the new car or the delivery experience, just reply and ask!

For any Portland locals who would like to come check out our new car at our meet this Sunday, feel free to contact me for more details. Especially, if you also took delivery of a Highland M3P, we would love to have you this weekend!

You're not too old. You'll get used to it over time. Give it a month or two and you'll be asking yourself "Is it really as fast as it used to be? It doesn't feel as fast". ;)
@borntorun10 you will get used to it. First time I launched in standard mode I about pooped my pants 😂🤣😂it was my first experience with a Tesla so it was just an extreme experience. Now, I can launch in insane without batting an eye, it’s just that good and in complete control - I don’t do it all the time, mostly when showing off the M3P to friends and family. And call me bad, but I always giggle when I hear the shrieks and screams from the passengers. Life is about experiences and man, this car delivers!

Those of y'all that have taken delivery, what kind of range are you getting?

I have a 260 mile trip that needs to be done in 1 go and need to know if the M3P is going to make it. Speed will be set to 70, highway and in the Southeast so temperature will be warm.
No superchargers on the way? I did 270 miles once in a 2018 dual motor 3 with 18s and aero caps from our place south of Atlanta to Lake City supercharger, I drafted a semi for 80 miles as I had full PPF. This was also going “downhill” so my guess is you won’t make it.

I am taking delivery of the new M3P next week and was buying some accessories on abstract ocean like their blacked out emblems. I was interested in purchasing their puddle lights for either the two front doors or all 4.

However, I was googling Tesla puddle lights, and I was coming across horror stories in prior posts saying they can mess up the electronics of the door, or cause the window not to work correctly or even break the window.

Does anyone know anything more about this? Are the ones from abstract ocean safe to use?
I replaced my puddle lights on my 2021 M3P (forgot where I bought them) and had ZERO issues.

Kinda. It's 200 miles to my folks house and then 60 miles from there to the Supercharger. Trying to avoid stopping twice and going partially out of the way to charge.
