If several of our agents have seen production colors on the production lines, doesn't this suggest that signatures, including CA signatures, are done? Except for exceptions? And only waiting to be delivered/CA-approved, while the exceptions are getting special treatment or waiting for missing parts?

BTW, it seems likely that among the not-yet-delivered sigs, a much higher percentage comes to at least one the two forums, to see what is happening.

I believe they were planning to build and deliver the Canadian Sigs in December, interspersed with the Rs. This was reported by the Tesla rep in the new Q&A section of the TM forums. Canadian Sigs were reported as "well underway," but this just started a few days ago.

There were some emails from delivery specialists indicating US sigs will be finished with production at the end of this coming week and that CA sigs entered general assembly Tuesday of this past week.

Given that they're over 250 cars/week at this point, possibly even higher (My guess is the the 2nd shift will be coming on this week and we'll be jumping to 400/wk this coming week), I think that may mean NA sigs will be done at the end of the week, not just US sigs. There are literally just a few dozen US sigs left to go, so the factory should be able to crank through those and the CA sigs in under a week.

Where did you get that number?
Data point 1:

Data point 2:
Canada
SSL 23 (July 18, 2012)
S 177 (September 23, 2012)
P 493 (November 21, 2012)

Conjecture:
Many of us assume there were at least some reservation cancellations among the SSL & S lists for the Canadian market.

Doug's projection puts the Sig cancellation rate at 25% or so for the Canadian market. I don't have more info on where he derives that from. I would guess it's at least 10% but he presumably has some additional reasons for expecting it to be as high as he does.

It promises to become an interesting December...

Posts like this make it an interesting November too: Model S Canadian Deliveries - Page 13
The way I read that, we should start seeing VINs and delivery windows for Rs and Canadian Sigs as early as tomorrow (Monday). If we don't see them by, say, December 1, it's going to be very difficult to get very far into the P list by the end of the year. Unless, of course, they do open a second shift. My fingernails are gone.
