Picked up my P85 vin 4587 at the service center in Menlo Park today. They were very busy. I rode my bike from work and chucked it in the trunk to get home in time for dinner. This car rocks! Thank you Julia, Andrew and Stephanie. You guys were great!

VIN 4287 collected (yes, collected!) from the Dallas Servcie Center yesterday after a frantic afternoon getting insurance and temporary tags sorted out! The TX deliver process is still evolving, but Tesla hit my delivery window with a day to spare!

Please do not misuse the google docs delivery spreadsheet !!

Please do not misuse the google docs delivery spreadsheet !! Basically all entries after 780 are wrong. The creator of the document might correct me, but delivery window is what you see when you get your delivery button, NOT the dates they tell you after completing your order. Those dates are unfortunately completely useless while the delivery window seems to be pretty accurate.

For those of us who are still waiting desperately, this spreadsheet sheet is the best data to make a good calculation on when to expect the car ! So please keep on posting your data, but the correct ones :)

VIN 4091 arrived today!!! Ben delivered the car from Tampa on one of Tesla's new trailers. He was GREAT, and took about 2 hours to go over everything and set up our garage door and gate openers. It is an 85kWhs, White, Body colored roof, 19 inch wheels, Black Leather, Lacewood, Tech Package, Sound Studio Package, Air Suspension, Parcel Shelf (to be delivered later), Supercharger Hardware and Twin Chargers. Came with 225 miles of charge and 20 miles on the car.
Here are some pictures of the delivery:

I had printed off a copy of the owner's manual on line, and here it is with the racing fobs!

Damn. Another color I love!!!! I better be happy with black . . . Congrats!

@carrerascott-
You are swayed by too many good pics. First it was the gray one in Florida (i must admit it looked good), now the white. I was considering the pearl white until a black one cruised by me in San Diego. I decided right then and there--a black perf 85 for sure. Blew me away. Aside from trying to keep it clean---Black is a killer color for this car. You will love it---guaranteed

What makes it a real killer are the dark grey wheels ! I ordered mine pearl white with (the black) pano rooof, black carbon spoiler and the dark grey wheels. It was a hard choice between black and white, but I love the contrast and being in Florida I think white will save me also a few battery KW's for less a/c.

I saw a black one with the dark grey wheels at the Tampa location, that looks awesome !! The wheels really change the car in most colors.

Picked up #4449 at the factory today. The car is amazing. Only due bill item is the chrome trim for the UMC. I'd suggest that anyone that can pick up the car at the factory, do it. You will probably get your car sooner and the factory tour is pretty cool. Photos to come.

#8061, VIN #4270: I picked my beautiful brown Model S up at the Rockville Service Center today! Rockville is the service hub for the east coast, or something like that. I think that's a good thing for me?

Jake the DES was awesome--very personable, very thorough, very understanding of my Teslitis. ;-) I think it was almost 2 hours; between the two of us, we were a bit chatty (I'm not normally). He said he learns something new in every delivery; what he learned from me was that you can restart the screens while driving. I told him I learned that from Cynergi and his excellent videos, of course, but that I could understand Tesla not recommending doing it.

My due bill includes the parcel shelf, the HPWC, and--now that I see alluu mention in in the previous comment, I just e-mailed him re. the chrome trim for the UMC. Two pieces of paint armor (including the hood) have a few bubbles that I noticed, and he said they won't come out with time, so they'll redo them, so that's another due bill item. I want the upgrade to full hood ($600), so that part isn't so much "due bill" as "new money from me to Tesla." ;-)

I did not get the silvery rear plate frame that says "TESLA" on it, but Jamee put me on a list of people who wanted one. They're out but it sounds like they may? will? get more in; they said I can keep asking about it, so I'm guessing it may take a while and they don't mind me pestering them occasionally.

I got the weird California strip of paper; who knows how long the MD registration will take. Jake recommended a ChargePoint card (and the app) and also the Recargo app. They don't have the cargo net at the SC, though he said to check the DC store and they might. I have the 3-month Slacker freebie. The iPhone app works great; I used it to lock the car and verify it was locked, since I stupidly got the lock/unlock presses confused and was trying double-press to do BOTH, on the fob. Whoops, no, it's press-hold to lock, double-press to unlock.

I did not get the flat repair kit, even though the owner's manual says in MD and RI you do. That's because I'm "buying in CA/from a CA dealer"--kinda bogus but whatevs, it's a minor thing. I'm not sure they're actually going to get a MD dealer license, from what he said--I thought they were going for most or all states, and with a SC in MD, it seems odd, but okay. (shrug)

Tesla's site does show delivered for my car--wow, I didn't think it would happen quickly like this, based on other experiences, not that it really matters:

Anyway, great pick-up experience and many thanks to Jake and Jamee! :-D

I take cruddy pix but here's one to tide y'all over--too dark out now, so this is from the pick-up:

Oh yeah, and...LOL, so focused on writing up info, I forgot emotion:

The car is THE BOMB, baby! It rocks! So smooth, quiet, love the regen, the nav is cool, the phone connectivity, playing music from my phone, etc. Yeah there are places where they can improve/add features--I think at this point, we all know what they are, but to me that's all minor. It's so wonderful to to have it now! It's charging outside my garage; they said I can run the cable like that, they drive over them all the time and garage doors (at least, ours) have a soft bottom and don't make a hard crushing seal anyway.

This is a shot of the iPhone app; charging's already done, and I didn't monitor it enough to see if the amount increased past that, but my voltage/amps seem good, so I presume either it got up, or it finished before it did, or maybe it just was close enough to full that it was in the "charging more slowly" topping off period. (shrug)

Update: Called this morning and the car shipped yesterday to the Austin Service Center. They were very apologetic that I was not notified of the delay. Should be ready to pick up mid next week!

I got a surprise call on Saturday morning from the drive saying he was 45 minutes away. He dropped it off soon after (so much for "it's going to the Austin Service Center"). It is amazing. Everything I'd hoped.

The 60 kWh has plenty of power and I think is a great choice. I am coming from a 3.2L Audi A3 with AWD and there is no comparison in drive dynamics (except for grip, where the Audi was infallible even in the rain, the torquey Model S spins the wheels easily in the rain). I can't wait for dry pavement to really feel it out at the limits. Here is a shot of the old and the new:

I'll second that. I did the factor tour and my VIN # is higher than yours and higher than any I've seen so far.

And the factory tour is fascinating.

VIN 4390 Delivered

Flew from Detroit to Chicago O"hare Saturday morning.
Delivered by Andrew and Joe at Chicago Service Center (They were awesome)
Very easy, fun and informative. Great Delivery Specialists. Paperwork done in 5 minutes, and I felt comfortable with the car and was ready to go after another 30 minutes or so. 275 Miles from Service center to my home.

Left with a full range charge with 272 rated range miles. Drove 145 miles to Celebration Cinema in Portage MI. Ended with 93 rated (used 179 rated for 145 actual miles driving with cruise set at 67 MPH)

Had lunch and watched a Movie. Charged for 4 hours at a J-1772 charger and added 69 miles of rated range.

Left Portage with 162 rated miles and drove 101 miles to Ann Arbor. Ended with 37 rated range miles (used 125 rated for 101 actual miles with cruise set at 61 MPH).

Had dinner in Ann Arbor, charged for 1.5 hours and added 26 miles of rated range.

Left Ann arbor with 62 miles of rated range for the 36 mile trip home. Ended at home with 15 miles of range (used 47 rated for 36 actual miles with cruise control set at 59 MPH).

Impressions:
A very long trip from Chicago to Detroit (about 11 hours door to door)
The car is amazing and fun to drive as all have described.
It is very hard to drive slowly. Now that I am home and range is not an issue, this will not happen again.
The cold weather takes a substantial bite out of range.
I now understand that battery range is not the big issue, it's the chargers. I could have made this trip in 5 hours (instead of 11) if there was 1 supercharger along the way.
I can't wait for the proliferation of superchargers. J-1772, 30 AMP charging is painfully slow for longer trips (approx. 16-17 MPH at best)
No flaws, bugs or issues with the vehicle. All is perfect, just missing a silver plate on the charger plug.
People who pass you cannot help but to stare, give a thumbs up, or even take a picture. (painful to drive so slow and let so many people pass)
Overall, a great adventure with my son and a great way to become aquatinted with the car. I would definitely do it again.

Great info Seidste1! I remember hearing some talk about a supercharger in Kalamazoo, hopefully this year? Daughter may go to UM next year, and we live in Chicago. I was never planning on the 85kWh S and without any Midwest superchargers had to bite the bullet for now and get a 2013 Volt to handle that trip. If TSLA stock treats me well, I may get an 85kWh about the time the network is further populated. Enjoy your new S in the meantime!

Kalamazoo would the perfect place - we make this trip to visit the in-laws 4-6 times a year - and would make it much easier to use my car instead of the gas guzzling SUV!
