I got tired of rumors about delays and etc on the internet and was driving close to my delivery center and I have stopped by.
I have made some friends there during my previous ownership of MX and I was able to get more info about deliveries and when I’ll get my car.
Basically guys there were really nice and told me since Q3 is just started they have not been pushed to deliver lots of cars and currently they said factory is making cars without deliveries, just stocking them up and will deliver massively when August hits. Probably closer to September.
I have noted that my EDD still says July and asked them if they can take a look on my profile which they’ve agreed to do
Also told me they have delivered LR with 19” already. Also they have delivered alredy cars with any exterior and interior colors. Basically they said they can’t see any delays for specific configurations.
about my order, they told me that seems like I supposed to get a car last week of July. which is really good news and I hope to believe this. Renting a car is not my favorite thing
Also, I have asked about posts on the internet that people were pushed to accept delivery in a short period even without proper notice. They told me this is the only “the end of the quarter” thing when they need to make numbers... So basically if you will be scheduled to accept delivery at the end of the quarter you don't have time to think, just have to do it or the car will be matched with another customer.

Excellent input. I’m going to copy your 500 w amp addition. I am totally into the MP3 music source as well. I’ll stay away from a radar detector for now hoping it will make me stay under warp speed. BTW, the Raiders should have stayed in NorCal.

Well after 9 months of waiting, grey hairs, and a lot of anxiety.... my car was born at 4:30 AM this morning and is being put on a truck later today. Delivery on Sunday. Finally! (PS - changing to 21's works and didn't put me further back in line. At least for me.)

@omarsultan : I remember reading few posts back that you changed a window glass or had scheduled a service window to get it replaced?
I was wondering how it went. The window tint shop cracked one of my window so I have scheduled an appointment to get it replaced. Apparently, the new Model S glass is different and I want to make sure they install the right one.

WooHoo! Hope you take delivery of your MS in July...would be a good sign for those of us also with white seats and cf interior trim!
I talked to my SA and he said they are expecting a big batch of cars mid Aug (in IL) and
mine is on that batch. EDD used to be 10-14 Weeks --> July --> and stayed Aug for a 2 months now. First Tesla so need to get my 220V line and other stuff ready for the baby to arrive at home... 
Talked to someone higher up the food chain about my Plaid and the expected delivery in Canada is still august/September and that there was nothing to fear at this point.

I think the best videos are going to come from DragTimes when he races against his 765lt. That is going to be a very fun race.
I believe I did once on freeway. It’s definitely was LR (no CF spoiler) and badge and wheels were looking as old wheels with aero caps. But probably my eyes are old alredy

That is fantastic news AMGF.
Yes the set up is easy to quickly remove the sub and the amp is hidden. The sound install guy had to learn in the fly since it is a brand new car. He said it had to do with the battery which is not your typical 12v and then told me a plethora of info, (that I promptly forgot), about how he had to get a switcher for it to step up the voltage for the radar detector. He also explained the sub and amp install but it was above my pay grade. But it is doable. Was a pretty cheap upgrade and I am so much happier with the sound.

No drama--mobile tech came by, found the issue with the wind noise, ordered a new part and is coming back net Friday to replace it. The only pain is I have to go back to my tint place to get the replacement re-tinted.

Nice. Unless the new 22-speaker 920W Tesla audio system is somehow inferior to the audio system of the previous 2020 MS P, I think it should be quite adequate for most people. I had a phenomenal 15-speaker 825W Meridian audio system in my previous Jag I-Pace HSE EV and it was the best oem car audio system I've ever heard and had in a car...loved it. People here on TMC who already have their MS Plaids say the new 920W Tesla audio system w/ noise cancellation is also excellent; I'm a bit surprised you say you needed another powered subwoofer but hey, you must have a very discerning ear I guess and to each, his/her own. Cheers!
btw -- gotta give you a little poke on your V1 radar detector...I had one for years and loved it but geez, Valentine's design is so outdated...it just looks like it's from the 1980's...and I suppose it is
; the guy has hardly changed the design of it since although the internals are awesome. I've been using a 2019 Escort Max 360 for a couple years now and it's excellent...not quite as accurate as the V1 and a bit large and heavy (although the suction cup design is very good and stays up on the windshield 99% of the time although I usually slide the radar detector off the bracket when parked in direct, hot S FL sun these days)...but it looks like a more modern design and functions fairly well with the arrows and early alerts.
