Wiki Model S Delivery Update

This is why i take breaks from the forum.

Every time I come in, people are getting random VINs and whatnot. My EDD hasn't changed in a month. I should be happy with that. I have a set time frame and it seems that Tesla is holding true. Then I come i here and i get back to the REFRESH PAGE SYNDROME (RPS) over and again. Eternal, re-occurring let downs.

*sigh*

I just want to close the club or hand over ownership to someone else.

I got a notification from Tesla saying there was an update to my account. Logged in and it was asking me to resubmit my credit application for my Model S purchase. I resubmitted and was approved for the same amount but with a different bank (original was US Bank, now it's Wells Fargo) and at a higher interest rate (original was 2.49%, not it 4.65%). Has this happened to anyone else? I tried calling Tesla but it goes to a voicemail system. Will I get a better answer on this by going to a showroom and getting help?

Anyone here reserve the Plaid before the $10k price hike, then remove the FSD option before delivery? Did your base price go up by $10k as a result (making the FSD cancellation not worth it)?
I have a order for a $119k plaid (was a plaid+ order) that also had FSD, but i hit the Remove FSD button to save a few bucks on taxes and maybe insurance etc. and the price in the paperwork pdfs still show $119k but without the FSD. Should be ok which I will confirm in about a week when I pick up.

Not sure if everyone already knows this, but I didn't. As a current Tesla owner, I "referred" myself in purchasing my new Model S Plaid. In reading the web page I believed I should get 2000 free supercharging miles (1000 as the referer and 1000 as the recipient).

Everything goes as planned but I only receive 1000 miles in my account. I "chat" with a real person on the Tesla web page and they confirm I should receive 2000.

I contact my SA and stated my case. Here is the response I received:

For their mistake and for the price of the car, you think 1000 miles would be an easy concession.
OK, I'm done complaining...
"
Thank you for your email. I am sorry to see you were provided with incorrect information when you chatted in regarding this concern. I understand this may not be clear on the website, I am happy to take this feedback as we are always looking to improve the Tesla experience. Unfortunately, this is not an area we are able to make exceptions.

Did you buy two different cars with two different email accounts? Because that's what I'm doing lol.

Not matrix, just LED lights that illuminate/de-illuminate on turning the wheel. There are like 10-12 bulbs, I forget; matrix bulbs use 50-100 bulbs...and it is amazing.
Because the Boy Racer crowd ( almost all above age 50 ) like those sounds as they pretend that they’re Lewis Hamilton. They, do however, find it very annoying as the Tesla pulls away from them despite all the Sturm und Drang.
I think you meant (almost all under age 40)

yes. it increases the price. or maybe not. but you're getting a plaid so why remove the FSD? just remember the subscription doesn't get the hardware upgrades, you'd have to pay for that if it gets updated. just keep it.

Good point, who "needs" 1000hp street car? But to counter your point, every biker I know that started with 600cc had a for sale sign after a couple weeks/months. As you get better the 600cc feels like it's lacking somehow. Tesla cars are so easy to drive in general that I believe the Plaid with its crazy power doesn't really feel intimidating like a 600cc bike would to a new rider.

With all that said I'm sticking to the Plaid for now. But a couple local guys are getting their LR so if I can bum a ride and think it's "enough" I might as well go the sensible route and switch to a LR. Or maybe the LR will not feel that quick to me and I will stick with the Plaid.
My advice was specifically for his admitted driving habits. Those who get bored with the 600cc do so because they constantly push full throttle at every opportunity. If someone drives a LR like that, and can afford a Plaid, definitely get the Plaid.
