I am also curious and a bit worried to see how things will work without the parking sensors. I am switching to MS from a MY that has the parking sensors. For instance, when I pull into my garage, I have summer wheels/tires sitting against wall on the right side. Fender camera could see the wheels next to the car but only towards the back. The parking sensor on the right side of my front bumper is mostly my guide as I pull in and out. When Tesla had disabled the radar and relied on camera only, things had started working good after couple software updates. However, in this case, there really isn’t a camera view to utilize, hence my worry. I live in a snowy environment , where road stuff do block the cameras, but parking sensors work like a champ. I could see doing that with the so called HWr4 and its expected 360 camera system, eventually.

There are zero round-wheel deliveries as of today, as far as I'm aware. I get the impression that only current inventory vehicles are shipping to customers. Come March 1, we'll see the refresh, refresh, refresh Model S.

That's my hope on why the extended delays. Many mentioning there was a retooling in January but been mums since that.

I get mine on Wednesday morning. My SC is 3 hours away. I have the VIN, but it doesn’t show a build date. My understanding is that info is in the door jamb. Can’t get my SC on the phone. Other than drive the 3 hours to see at delivery, is there a way to know build date?

The service center should be able to tell you. My sales rep has always been able to tell me. If your car doesn't have HW4 (and you'll know because there will be cameras likely in the headlights), do not take delivery.

Hw4 is not coming with the refresh refresh refresh. Just a round wheel red calipers and a better tiny rear screen. Maybe no Uss. This I learned yesterday from a delivery specialist in Fremont that actually knows almost zero about the new S coming out. He warned me about 3 times my 250$ is not refundable. I reminded him your 118,000 is not guaranteed either.

i would suggest buy the inventory car if you can, wouldn’t pay more than 105 that’s for sure.

This I learned yesterday from a delivery specialist in Fremont that actually knows almost zero about the new S coming out. He warned me about 3 times my 250$ is not refundable. I reminded him your 118,000 is not guaranteed either.

i would suggest buy the inventory car if you can, wouldn’t pay more than 105 that’s for sure.

Hope to prove him wrong. Besides even those upgrades are worth my patience and money. I'm addition to it being built with my specification versus selling for something that is ready and not what I want.

Confirmed yesterday from a delivery specialist no hw4 on the new SX. The first cars expected with hw4 are the cyber truck. just removal of uss and added cameras to make up for it. I believe it may be in the car but who cares if you don’t use FSD.

You know they don’t have any clue until they show up on the lot… I haven’t seen any 4x refreshes delivered yet.
